The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Potential Tropical Cyclone Fourteen, located over the northwestern Caribbean Sea just east of the Yucatan Peninsula. * Formation chance through 48 hours...high...near 100 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...high...near 100 percent. A non-tropical low pressure system, located about midway between the Azores and the Canary Islands, is producing a large area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms, along with winds to near gale force mainly north of the center. The low could gradually acquire subtropical or tropical characteristics over the next few days while it moves generally eastward and remains over warm waters. By midweek, however, environmental conditions are expected to become unfavorable for further development to occur. 000 ABPZ20 KNHC 062303 TWOEP Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 500 PM PDT Sat Oct 6 2018 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Hurricane Sergio, located a little more than 1100 miles west-southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula. A broad and weak low pressure system is moving farther inland over central Honduras and surface pressures continue rise along the Pacific coast. Therefore, tropical cyclone formation is not forecast to occur in the eastern North Pacific basin. However, widespread showers and thunderstorms containing heavy rainfall are expected to continue for the next few days across western Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador, and the coast of Guatemala, producing flash floods across much of Central America and causing mudslides in areas of mountainous terrain. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...low...near 0 percent. $$ Forecaster Stewart

000 ABNT20 KNHC 061739 TWOAT Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 200 PM EDT Sat Oct 6 2018 For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical Storm Leslie, located over the central Atlantic Ocean. Satellite data, surface observations, and radar data from Belize indicate that an area of low pressure is centered over the northwestern Caribbean Sea east of northern Belize. The associated showers and thunderstorms show signs of organization and the wind circulation is gradually becoming better defined. Environmental conditions are expected to become more conducive for further development, and a tropical depression or tropical storm is expected to form over the northwestern Caribbean Sea or the southern Gulf of Mexico on Sunday or Monday while the system moves slowly northward. Interests in the Yucatan peninsula, western Cuba, and the northern coast of the Gulf of Mexico should monitor the progress of this system during the next several days. 000 ABPZ20 KNHC 061726 TWOEP Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 1100 AM PDT Sat Oct 6 2018 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Hurricane Sergio, located a little more than 1000 miles west-southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula. Satellite and surface observations indicate that the low pressure area that was over the far eastern Pacific Ocean has moved inland over Central America and further development of this system is not expected. However, this system is producing a large area of showers and thunderstorms with heavy rainfall across western Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador, and the coast of Guatemala.
