Disorganized cloudiness and showers from Hispaniola eastward to the Leeward Islands and the adjacent waters are associated with a tropical wave interacting with an upper-level trough. This activity is forecast to spread westward to west-northwestward enhancing the rainfall across portions of Hispaniola, the Bahamas, the Turks and Caicos Islands, and Florida into early next week. A tropical wave is producing a large area of cloudiness and showers from Hispaniola eastward to the Leeward Islands and the adjacent waters. 535 ABPZ20 KNHC 310506 TWOEP Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 1100 PM PDT Thu Aug 30 2018 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Hurricane Norman, located more than 700 miles west-southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula. Showers and thunderstorms associated with a low pressure system located several hundred miles south of Manzanillo, Mexico, have changed very little in organization over the past several hours. 386 ABPZ20 KNHC 302341 TWOEP Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 500 PM PDT Thu Aug 30 2018 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Hurricane Norman, located several hundred miles west-southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula. Satellite data indicate that the circulation of a low pressure system located about 450 miles south of Manzanillo, Mexico, has become better defined today, but the associated showers and thunderstorms remain disorganized. Additional gradual development of this system is expected, and a tropical depression is likely to form this weekend or early next week while the system moves west-northwestward away from the coast of Mexico. * Formation chance through 48 hours...medium...50 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...high...80 percent. $$ Forecaster Cangialosi
