615 ABPZ20 KNHC 302325 TWOEP Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 500 PM PDT Mon Jul 30 2018 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: Showers and thunderstorms associated with an area of low pressure located about 800 miles south of the southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula are showing some signs of organization. However, the system appears to lack a well-defined center at this time. Environmental conditions appear conducive for some additional development over the next few days, and a tropical depression could form while the disturbance moves generally westward at around 15 mph. * Formation chance through 48 hours...medium...50 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...medium...60 percent. An area of low pressure is expected to form several hundred miles south of the Gulf of Tehuantepec late this week.
