Employees from TQL's Nashville office get ready to help bag up sweet potatoes during Ag Day on the Hill Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Randy Boyd along with Total Quality Logistics officials announced the transportation services company will expand its operations in Tennessee by opening a new location in Knox County. The company will invest $1 million to open a sales office in downtown Knoxville to meet the needs of its expanding client-base, creating at least 100 new jobs over the next five years.

JOB DESCRIPTION Responsibilities Duties Tasks The primary areas of responsibility for this service are the Payload but the service provider may be requested to assume the responsibility and perform activities for additional subsystems or systems within the scope of general SOE services, including test, validation and operation of the Mission Control System, Mission Planning System and Simulator. The service provide will be primarily assigned to a particular mission within the Astronomical Fundamental Physics Mission family but with the possibility of supporting other missions within this family. The general activities to be supported by the service are depending on the phase of the mission Study of Project specific Characteristics and Ground Segment Documentation Preparation of Functional Requirements for the Project dedicated Flight Control Software Participation in the Analysis and Design of Satellite Operations Preparation of Functional Requirements for the Project dedicated Flight Control Ground Facilities Preparation of Flight Control and Contingency Procedures Mission Management and Mission Planning Support OnBoard Software Maintenance Support Production of Project specific Software Validation and Satellite Interface Validation Test SVT Procedures, Reports and Participation in SVTs Participation in the System Operations Validation Test SOV, Training and Simulation Programmes Participation in Launch and Early Orbit Phase LEOP and Mission Critical Operations General Flight Control Support Spacecraft Performance Analysis Qualifications Aerospace Engineer, Mathematician, Physicist or any related discipline. Required knowledge Spacecraft subsystem knowledge Experience in activities applicable to spacecraft operations Fluency in English, both in speech and writing Coordinate and interact with other service providers in operations and other fields. Able to work independently Familiarity with the ESOC environment Familiarity with satellite control systems, in particular SCOS2000 Some experience dealing with external interfaces Familiarity with operational simulators, especially the ones based on SimSat Familiarity with Astronomical Fundamental Physics satellites The ability to multitask efficiently working on multiple activities, multiple subsystems and if applicable multiple missions simultaneously.
