JOB DESCRIPTION Data Systems Operations engineer SIM area This WO is covering a Sentinels Data Systems Engineering operational service support request, within the Sentinels Data Systems Management Teams,. The main area of expertise for this service request is the Simulator SIM, although support on the area of Mission Control Systems MCS is expected Responsibilities Duties Tasks The primary area of responsibility for this service is for Data Systems Operations Engineering, covering the areas of the following two Mission Data Systems MDS Sentinels Mission Control Systems Engineering support Sentinels Simulators Engineering support For both of these Mission data systems, the service includes Specification of the software requirements of these systems in collaboration with the operational users Definition and specification of their internal and external interfaces in agreement with the relevant parties Acceptance of the deliverables received from industry, ensuring correctness, completeness and compliance to the applicable requirements Support to the mission operations staff as required in the various operational phases, including System Validation Tests, simulation campaign and in software support coordination as part of the Flight Control Team during critical operational phases such as launches Coordination with other internal ESOC or external units, e.g. with the unit supplying mission data systems infrastructure and with the unit supplying the ICT systems and services Participation in research and development activities in the area of mission data systems. Participate in the testing and validation of the various infrastructure elements used by the Sentinels MDS as well as definition of the future evolution of these systems. Satellite Platform Operations Engineer 1513020 Job Description We are looking for a Satellite Platform Operations Engineer to support our client EUMETSAT for both routine operations and operations preparation of the MTP and the MSG satellite platforms with particular emphasis on all MTP subsystems and MSG Flight Software subsystem DHSS, and, in the longer term, for the operations preparation of the MTG satellites.
