As part of the Advanced Systems Engineering Group, the Systems Engineering Specialist will be responsible for the following Design end to end systems at all satellite bands using advanced ground segment technologies to provide fixed and mobile broadband services Provide systems engineering expertise for the design of communications payloads Analyze efficiencies of advanced satellite payloads using spot beams for both bent pipe and processor based architectures in geostationary and nongeostationary orbits Recommend improvements to system engineering software tools Support Telesat new satellite programs and external customers requesting technical advice Lead multidisciplinary project teams and provide technical guidance to other engineers and technical specialists Education and Experience Required Masters or PHD Degree in Electrical Engineering specializing in microwaves and communications Minimum of 9 years of practical industry experience in communications systems engineering Experience performing endtoend communications system analysis entailing indepth understanding of the interrelationships between technology, performance, applications and costs Experience with multispot beam satellites design Knowledge of satellite onboard channelizers and multiport amplifiers Knowledge of geo and non geo constellations Expert using software tools such as Mathlab, SatSoft, ECM, Complan and Satmaster.
