Ajilon Technology Aerospace is looking for an Multidisciplinary Project Coordinator M3 for an opportunity at the European Space Agency in the Netherlands Ajilon Technology Aerospace is a specialized Engineering consultancy with more than 30 years experience providing aerospace Engineers to our key partners in The Netherlands. Ajilon is a longstanding business partner of the European Space Agency ESA, with more than 100 employees recruited from across Europe currently supporting ESAs activities. General tasks to be performed The multidisciplinary project coordinator set up projects involving mainly electrical, mechanical and civil fields of expertise. Heshe first proceeds to the procurement according to the ESA procedures and rules Preparation of the technical description of the work to be performed in coordination with the users laboratories andor test centre. Launching the procurement process via tender or purchase in collaboration with the contract department of ESA. Support to evaluation of the bids and negotiation with the recommended contractor. The project coordinator shall the be responsible for the implementation phase Organisation, monitoring and followup of the work. Cost control of the projects according to ESA budgets. Delivery of the project according to ESA Acceptance Procedures. Heshe provides ESAESTEC warnings of serious deviations or variations that may compromise project results. Proven record in ensuring project cost control. Good knowledge of ESTEC Site and Infrastructure needed to perform activities in satellite tests and laboratories, and a good planning and organisational skills, team spirit and ability to work in an international environment. The Project Support coordinator reports to the Head of Informatics and Facility Management division or to the Heads of Sections or Project manager for whom support is needed. HeShe is responsible for the following tasks, whose list is given indicatively Production and update of a long term site planning document that details the implication for the ESTEC estates of all decisions taken by the Site Management Department and the other directorates, departments and divisions present at ESTEC. This document will analyse the cost implications of all proposed or agreed changes to the ESTEC estate. Verifies and obtains coherence in all medium and longterm planning and project management being undertaken by the sections of the division. Prepares divisional monthly planning meetings and followup of all its resulting actions. Undertakes special project control activities, particularly those with a crossdivisional impact, as directed by the head of Division. Specific tasks to be performed Coordinating the execution of infrastructure projects in line with sound project management principles and with the ESA applicable procedures. Providing technical and administrative assistance to ESA ESTEC Infrastructure Section discipline engineers Civil, electrical, mechanical Collecting functional customer requirements covering technical facilities. Drafting technical specification and tender documents and supporting the procurement process between ESA ESTEC Infrastructure Section and ESA ESTEC Contract Office. Possible procurement methods can be any of the following open tender, competition betweemn pre selected companies frame contractors, Purchase order and direct negotiation. Supporting ESA staff in de control of project schedule, cost, supervision of works, communication with stakeholders, production of reports. To successfully perform the above mentioned tasks, the following background experience is required Master Level degree in either electrical, electromechanical or mechanical engineering 5 years of project management coordination experience in building infrastructure and sound knowledge of project management principles. Good knowledge of European and Duch applicable norms and legislation in their field of expertise. MicroSoft XP operating system, CIFMbased on Archibus software, MS Word, Access, Excel and Projects, Lotus Notes. Good interpersonal and communication skills and a talent for negotiating and problem solving. They must have proven ability to work effectively to meet deadlines under demanding circumstances in an environment of diverse cultures. Experience of ESA tender rules procedures and international procurement technology would be an asset. About ESAESTEC The European Space Agency ESA has sites in several European countries. The European Space Research and Technology Centre ESTEC is the largest site and the technical heart of ESA. This nursery of European space activities is located in Noordwijk, Netherlands. At ESTEC, about 2500 engineers, technicians and scientists work handson with mission design, spacecraft and space technology. Almost all ESA projects except launchers are managed from ESTEC. In Noordwijk, people work on science missions, manned space missions, Earth observation, telecommunications and navigation satellites.
