A vacancy for a Thermal and Fluid Engineering Product Manager mf has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Toulouse. You will join the Thermal Hardware and Engineering department and will be in charge of the performance financial and programmatic and development from the design up to the delivery of fluid control in microgravity conditions or thermal control products. You will ensure the customer internal or external relationships, and the management of the design team and industrial followup. You will be involved with the following technologies and products heat pipes, capillary pumping fluid loops, subassemblies of complete thermal control from the catchment to the rejection of the power to be dissipated and Propellant Management Devices PMD based on capillary phenomena. In the context of this mission, you will be responsible for the quality, cost and leadtime of the departments subcontracted activity and ensuring the associated reporting. You will perform the following activities Steering the general design and validating the justification and definition dossiers for the product concerned, with the support of different functions, and ensuring compliance with the specification requirements, Leading the industrial followup and design team 3 to 5 persons per product and producing a technical summary of the hardware developed, Defining the work plan for the detailed definition and acceptance activities designs, analyses and tests, Establishing, following up on and managing the cost estimates for the overall budget 0.5 to 3M, for the development schedule and the analysis of the risks associated with the product concerned, Conducting the industrial followup of the test, integration and manufacturing partnerssubcontractors to ensure compliance with the definition documents, Interfacing with the customer external customer or internal project group, ensuring the reporting, Participating with the responses to the Calls for Tender. This position will require frequent travel for business once every two weeks within Europe, and, as such, you must be able to travel accordingly. As the successful candidate, you will be able to demonstrate some of the following competencies Engineering degree or university equivalent in the field of thermal or mechanical engineering, At least 5 years experience in thermal analyses andor in thermal and fluid product development, Proficiency in design aid tools risk analysis, value engineering, functional analysis, engineering and development plan definition, Proficiency in the basics of space thermal and fluid mechanics and the associated sizing rules and the behaviour of fluids in microgravity capillary phenomenon, Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes used on developed products welding, brazing and machining and the rules of industrial drawings, Knowledge of modelling thermal and fluid mechanics, Ideally, initial experience in technical management, project andor product developmentindustrialisation management. Experience in thermal control technologies, ideally diphasic, would be a plus, Ability to summarise and excellent decisionmaking skills, Ability to integrate into a team and adapt well, Meticulous nature, as well as the ability to take initiative, with a responsive and autonomous approach, Good interpersonal and communication skills writtenoral, Advanced level of English and French.
