Sales Manager Ref TEC0046 Region Europe Location Luxembourg Betzdorf Company SES TechCom Category Sales Position Staff Published 20150212 Context SES Techcom services is levering on the technical expertise accumulated within the SES Group by operating satellites for more than 25 years and provides technical services to the Satellite Industry on a worldwide basis. In order to support its growth, SES Techcom Services has a need for an additional Sales Manager. As Sales Manager within SES TechCom S.A., the incumbent is responsible for various presales, sales and postsales activities. Projects acquisition will primarily be in the domain of satellite ground services in line with TechComs portfolio. More general, the incumbent will either be involved or lead through the process of acquisition of RFPs, the preparation and provision of proposals as well as the negotiation and the acquisition of contracts. Furthermore, the incumbent will have to supervise contract executions and will be in charge of contract management responsibilities as required. The incumbent will work together with various Engineering and Operations Departments in the various request for proposal phases from a vendor as well as from a customer perspective. The incumbent will manage customer relationship as well as project subcontractors. He should also be able and willing to work autonomously and partially in remote locations. The mission is for SES TechCom S.A. to become a leading supplier of technical products, services and applications in the field of satelliterelated engineering and operations to satellite manufacturers, satellite operators and associated partners. Responsibilities Promote the TechCom products and services in the market, and coordinate the related marketing support as required Proactively liaise, coordinate and support SES Sales and Sales Engineering function in order to identify and acquire joint opportunities. Prepare and provide technical and commercial proposals as requested. Lead Contract Negotiations with customers Ensure Quality of Services to the customers as delivered by the TechCom personnel andor the SES personnel. Establish and exploit, on a nonexclusive basis, relationships with satellite manufacturers with the aim of providing customer support services Provide services to noncompeting and emerging satellite operators Provide baseline engineering services on a global basis e.g. Transfer Orbit Services, Satellite Operations Services, connectivity, Support the Preparation of the annual TechCom Operating Expenses budget Experience Qualifications Have a university degree in RF, Telecommunications, Electronics Engineering, space physics or equivalent Minimum 5 years engineering experience in the Satellite OperationsTelecommunications Industry either in a more ground engineering or a more satellite engineering domain Strong commercial interest MBA preferred Ability to negotiate and close deals for high value communications services Effective communication and persuasion skills, both verbal and written Excellent team work and crossfunctional cooperation Proactive approach towards potential customers Identify and followup sales opportunities Excellent project management skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and readiness to travel Have the skills to prepare technical and commercial proposals in cooperation with engineeringoperations personnel Fluency in English any other language is considered an asset Our Offer Competitive salary package, coupled with a diverse array of challenges and development benefits.
