EC to invest EUR 450 mln in new cybersecurity partnership

(Telecompaper) The European Commission has announced the launch of a new public-private partnership on cybersecurity by pledging to invest EUR 450 million under its research and innovation programme Horizon 2020. Private cybersecurity groups, represented by the European Cyber Security Organisation (ECSO), are expected to invest three times more, bringing the total to EUR 1.8 billion by 2020, said the EC in a statement. The partnership will also include members from national, regional and local public administrations, research centres and academia, with the first call for proposals set to be published in early 2017.

A vacancy for the Head of CyberSecurity France mf has arisen within Airbus Defence Space in Elancourt. This is an excellent opportunity for a recognised leader in the Cyber Security world to be responsible for leading all operational activities of Airbus Defence Space CyberSecurity in France. You will be leading a business with a proven and successful track record in France Governmental Defence activities with an unrivalled reputation amongst the National Technical authorities. You will be responsible for ensuring Airbus Defence Spaces position in the market place as a trusted provider of secure systems remains and build on this platform to grow our high end enterprise cyber solutions. You will play a pivotal part in the continued growth of our business in France and will be responsible for Market and Product strategy, MA, Partnering, Branding and positioning. We are looking to recruit somebody with the ability to provide strategic direction, leadership and operational targets to ensure that the CyberSecurity France business goals are met in the most effective way. This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities. The successful applicant will be responsible for amongst other things Responsible for all operational activity in Cyber France. Providing strategic direction, leadership and operational targets to the Heads of function to ensure that Cyber France business goals are met in the most effective way. Challenging management in Cyber France to improve operational performance and to focus on developing the market in line with the overall strategy. Responsible for creation and achievement of budget for total country Order Intake, PL, Revenue EBIT. Ensuring Product ManagementDevelopment for National Projects, Engineering execution capability management, delivery of customer selffunded projects, organisation governance of country perimeter, customer satisfaction, preparation of national organic investment cases. The successful applicant will also have fiduciary responsibilities for the SaS Duties and liabilities in France, principally governed by The French Commercial Code Code de Commerce, The AoA of the Company. In addition, specific regulations apply to listed companies for example, the regulations of the Financial Markets Authority Autorit des Marchs Financiers AMF. Duty of care and loyalty. Application of legal or statutory regulations applicable to the Company. Applying provisions of the Articles of Association. Ensuring proper corporate governance. Compliance with the mandatory provisions of the law. This role will involve some travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly. We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience At least 10 years of experience in Cyber Security and an extended knowledge of the Cyber Defence Market. Proven Team Management experience and excellent Leadership skills in a transnational environment. Sales Management experience. Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent in Information Technology or a related discipline. Strong professional communicator, both in verbal and written communication. Ability to rapidly gainbuild trust and confidence of internal and external stakeholders. A natural leader, forward thinking and strategic, yet pragmatic and operationally savvy, with a commitment to a job well done.
