Flight Software Systems Engineer 1811046 Job Description We are looking for a Flight Software Systems Engineer for our client ESTEC. You will join the Flight Software Systems Team and will support the following Project support related to all technical aspects development and qualification of flight software. General Support to Software Validation Facilities and Avionics Test Bench infrastructure activities. Development of Software Validation Facility components as well for the generic facilities as special project applications. This includes processor emulators, simulation of spacecraft systems and spacecraft dynamics. Tasks within design, test and validation of onboards software customization of realtime operating systems for space applications maintenance and expert support within the software development toolset system evaluation, testing and performance characterization of telecommunication systems as networking via satellite or network management. Design, implementation and testing tasks for the Sections technology programme. Required Skills and Experience A university degree Msc or equivalent qualification in Electronic Engineering, Space Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related discipline. A minimum of 4 years experience in Software engineering and objectoriented programming Space systems and Space Systems engineering Programming languages CC andor others Embedded Real Time Systems and Real Time Kernels Microprocessors such as SPARC LEON, ARM, multicores etc Communication protocols Mil1553, SpaceWire, CAN Software Engineering tools Software Engineering Standards such as the ECSSEST40C Familiarity with modern software engineering methods and have hands on experience of software development and verification tools. Be able to function as part of a team. A proactive and flexible attitude is required due to the operational nature of the support. Desirable Skills and Experience Experience with embedded realtime software development will be an advantage.
