Spacecraft Operations Engineer Sentinel 2 Key Tasks and Responsibilities Supporting the Earth Observation Missions Division, you will have the following responsibilities Validation, test and operation of the MCS Validation, test and operation of the Simulator Generation, validation and maintenance of the FOP primarily on MMFU, SBS, XBS, but also for other subsystems Support for test and operate the NDIU Support for FOS procurement, integration and tests Review of satellite documents Mission Planning. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University Degree in Engineering or a related subject Spacecraft subsystem knowledge, preferably for Mass Memory and Formatting Unit, SBand and XBand subsystems Expertise in operational environments Experience with procedures life cycle Experience with Mission Planning Tools Experience with operational simulators, especially the ones based on SimSat Familiarity with low Earth orbit satellites is advantageous Familiarity with satellite control systems, in particular SCOS2000, would be an advantage Ability to understand and accurately predict behaviour of complex systems Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage. The selected candidate will coordinate the routine operations and monitoring of the operational SAF Satellite Application Facilities and External Data Services and their upgrade to new products and services.
