The awarded European Commission EC contract to Spaceopal is more than just its satellites in space. Galileo Operations will provide highquality positioning, navigation and timing services to users across the whole world as a civilcontrolled service with guaranteed continuity of coverage. Tasks and Responsibilities Reporting to Spaceopals Security and Accreditation Director SAD, the Engineer will undertake tasks and duties as required to maintain Spaceopals compliance to the Security Operating Requirements SecOps, Local Security Operating Procedures LSOP and Galileo System Accreditation and Certification Plan SACP. As part of the Spaceopal Security and Accreditation Team the GCCI OSAE will work closely with, and sometimes provide cover for the other members of the team based in Munich and at GCCD Oberpfaffenhofen. The OSAE will represent Spaceopal in meetings with the representatives of the European Space Agency supporting deployment and operation of Galileo Control System and Mission System and Network elements at Fucino and other sites. The OSAE will undertake Operations Risk Analyses and other Securityrelated activities under the direction of SAD or other Spaceopal team members. The individual will frequently attend GCC Coordination meetings, Anomaly Review Boards, Change Control Boards and NonConformance Boards, and a significant aspect of the task is to identify any potential violations of Security Operating Procedure Requirements SecOps. TASKS This is an opportunity for a motivated and experienced engineer to work for our EUMETSAT customer within a new and interesting space mission. Sentinel3 is a Low Earth Orbiting mission in the context of the Copernicus Services set up by the European Commission. The first satellite, Sentinel3A, is expected to launch mid2015 with the second satellite Sentinel3B operating in tandem and due for launch 18 months later. EUMETSATs monitors and controls Sentinel 3 satellites and generates near realtime and offline products to support the marine user community. The Dissemination Operations Engineer DOE shall mainly perform tasks related to dissemination in support of Copernicus Sentinel3 during the routine operations phase.
