In addition, the candidate will provide operations support to the Data Handling and SBand TTC subsystems. The candidate may be requested to assume the responsibility and perform activities for additional subsystems or systems as defined by the SOM or Division Head. Qualifications and Requirements Applicants require basic knowledge of all spacecraft subsystems and detailed knowledge of the subsystems listed in the technical description. Knowledge of and experience in ESA Ground Segment Operations and ESOC Ground Segment Components Mission Control System, Simulators is desirable. Ground Operations Engineers are responsible for providing the ops engineering required for their missions during preparation and execution phase. The Challenge We are looking for an experienced Ground Operations Engineer GOE, to be located at our customers site, ESOC in Darmstadt. The responsibilities of the GOE include in particular Participate in the mission specific design of the ground segment elements Participate in the mission specific validation of ground segment elements prior to critical operations Participate in the critical operations phases for that mission Participate in the definition of mission specific ground station configuration in the ops preparation phase and after major modifications Participate in the validation of station configuration and MC tailoring for remote operations Monitor performance of ESTRACK services provided to customers and trigger corrective actions in case of degradations Initiate or conduct investigations into anomalies affecting the Ground service to the mission Participate in regular meeting with missions e.g. WORM, ICM or event driven meetings e.g. MRBs.
