The Challenge We are looking for an experienced System Engineer Mission Control Operations to be located at the customer site in Darmstadt, Germany. The System Engineer would join Terma GmbHs activity as a full time employee, supporting the routine ground segment operations of our customers lowearth orbiting and geostationary satellites as well as contributing to operational preparation for future missions. Tasks are likely to include Definition and maintenance of missioncontrol operations procedures, including system and ground segment procedures and operations guides Liaison with relevant personnel to ensure continuity and optimisation of activities related to such areas as monitoring and control, operational databases, external data exchanges, operational performance and change implementation Support for operational ground segment analyses Analysis and resolution of system anomalies Support for system upgrades and modifications Participation in functional verification and operational validation of mission control systems Support for development and operational preparation of the launch of new models of currently operating satellites, as well as for new platformspayloads Support for operational personnel training. Some limited standby and oncall duties outside of normal hours may be required, for instance to assist in critical operations.
