Space Applications Services performs and supports system and software engineering for the European Space Agency ESA, National Space Agencies and the aerospace industry. Tasks and Responsibilities The work will be performed at the European Space Operations CentreESOC in Darmstadt, Germany. For the support of the management of the information security service for the Missions Operations Infrastructure MOI Ground facilities Operations services domain to ensure compliance with ESA Security Directives. The position includes the following tasks and responsibilities Continuous monitoring, enhancement and maintenance of the GNDF Domain internal processes. Configuration, Inventory and Asset Management. Change and Release Management. Incident and Problem Management. Business Continuity Management. Risk Management. Customer Interfaces. Service Provider Interfaces. Help Desk Function to this end, ITIL awareness is required. Furthermore, some previous exposure to and knowledge of the Ground Facilities GNDF Domain would be advantageous. Periodically review and update of MOI GNDF ISMS documentation Support the MOI GNDF Information Security Management System ISMS Manager and MOI GNDF PSSO for Management Reviews, including regular MOI GNDF ISMS status reports. Continuously support MOI ISMS Training and Awareness process. Maintain, monitor and guard the MOI GNDF infrastructure to guarantee confidentiality, integrity and availability. Provide feedback on improvements and noncompliances. Ensure QMS and ISMS crossreferences are accurate. Provide support in incident handling and enforcing SECOPS procedures. First line GNDF ISMS user support. Qualifications and Experience Applicants should have a Bachelor degree in a relevant discipline and 7 years of experience in Operations Engineering activities. Furthermore, candidates are required to have following skills Experience in activities applicable to ground segment operations engineering. Fluency in English, both in speech and writing. Coordinate and interact with other service providers in operations and other fields. Able to work independently. Experience dealing with external interfaces. Familiarity with ESTRACK. The ability to multitask efficiently. The position is located on site at ESOC and will include occasional European travels. GCCI Operations Security and Accreditation Engineer OSAE Spaceopal is the operations prime contractor for the European Galileo Satellite Navigation System and manages all Galileo Operations. The awarded European Commission EC contract to Spaceopal is more than just its satellites in space. Galileo Operations will provide highquality positioning, navigation and timing services to users across the whole world as a civilcontrolled service with guaranteed continuity of coverage. Tasks and Responsibilities Reporting to Spaceopals Security and Accreditation Director SAD, the Engineer will undertake tasks and duties as required to maintain Spaceopals compliance to the Security Operating Requirements SecOps, Local Security Operating Procedures LSOP and Galileo System Accreditation and Certification Plan SACP. As part of the Spaceopal Security and Accreditation Team the GCCI OSAE will work closely with, and sometimes provide cover for the other members of the team based in Munich and at GCCD Oberpfaffenhofen. The OSAE will represent Spaceopal in meetings with the representatives of the European Space Agency supporting deployment and operation of Galileo Control System and Mission System and Network elements at Fucino and other sites. The OSAE will undertake Operations Risk Analyses and other Securityrelated activities under the direction of SAD or other Spaceopal team members. The individual will frequently attend GCC Coordination meetings, Anomaly Review Boards, Change Control Boards and NonConformance Boards, and a significant aspect of the task is to identify any potential violations of Security Operating Procedure Requirements SecOps. The Engineer will work closely with the Security specialist staff at GCCI to ensure that all activities related to cyber security are correctly implemented. The Engineer will also help to plan and execute various Security Simulations and participate in the test campaign and commissioning of the Galileo Public Regulated Service. For our office in Fucino, Italy, we are looking for a Security Operations Engineer mf to assist a preliminary Setup Phase and a subsequent Validation Phase for the Galileo Early Services ES. Whilst waiting for the Galileo Full Operational Capability FOC to be deployed, EC and ESA have defined Early Services to include the following main lines development of initial services for Open Service OS and Search and Rescue SAR, after that stable RF signals for their exploitation are available on air testing of Pilot Projects for Public Regulated Services PRS, followed by associated initial service experiments exercise of demonstrator for Commercial Services CS, followed by associated initial services. The ideal candidate is an Engineer with Operations Ops experience and capability of understanding Satellite Navigation Services and related Ops products, supporting ES preparation and validation. Heshe will understand Galileo Mission Segment GMS and Galileo Control Segment GCS elements functions with their interfaces and associated inputoutput information exchange understand which system data can be extracted analysed to achieve a correct PRS Performance and Security reporting manage to make sure that the data to be generated for PRS Performance and Security reporting are in line with what ESAGSMCN need have to be enabled to deal with PRS related issues and interface the GSAESA on these topics knowledge of Galileo PRS and Security Operations SEC OPS is desirable have experience in Ops Products forfrom GMS and GCS elements that are crucial for ES, especially those needed to capture Navigation Service Status and OKPIs i.e. GACF, MUCF focus on ES preparation issues requiring intervention and interface withbetween GMS, GCS, GSC manage ES Verification sessions dealing with PRS Pilot Projects.
