We are currently presenting an exciting opportunity as a Market Development Manager to join our team which is within the Development and Engineering sector of Inmarsats business, the team is responsibility for cross business unit development opportunities unusually with a particular focus on technology and infrastructure development. Working closely with the market access specialists in the division, this position is required to support market development for Inmarsat. The Infrastructure Market Development Manager will liaise with many relevant departments and teams within Inmarsat and with is distributors and key customers, as well as on occasion national regulators and policy makers. Activities will include providing support to the rest of the Market Development Team in order to support all necessary authorisations needed to provide the planned Global Xpress services worldwide under the most costeffective and least burdensome conditions possible. As a specific support to infrastructure market development, this may require, among others, activities such as analysis of market data supporting the development of specific offerings andor replies to RFPs draft, review and negotiation of MoUs and SoWs with VARs andor other potential partners. Key responsibilities Work with the Market Development leads to support identified projects supporting GX offer penetration, GXLband portfolio augmentation and GXLband major infrastructure development projects, with particular focus on development activities in emerging markets and infrastructure opportunities. Contribute toward market intelligence activities this shall include developing and maintaining a detailed knowledge of the MSS and FSS markets and of their evolution, as well as GX and Inmarsats value chain and infrastructure, and that of its competitors. Where appropriate, collaborate with the wider business and utilise existing information and resources of relevance. Work with the rest of the Market Development team to support discussions with regulatorypolicyspectrum authorities and the development of inventive regulatory solutions to achieve authorization of the GX service. Essential knowledge and skills An Engineering degree or a BusinessFinance degree in a related discipline with business analysis experience Strong and relevant professional experience ideally over 10 years working in a similar capacity in telecoms or satcoms ideally with knowledge of both Strong interpersonal skills with a strong ability to build and maintain strong relationships inside and outside the organisation Experience in preparing complex agreements and exposure to negotiation Demonstrable experience in providing commercial advice on proposed product and service launches Confidence to work autonomously, building relevant financial models if required and advising across a wide range of potential products and services Experience collating information from a wide range of sources and distilling critical trends Objective, rational and multidisciplinary thinking An understanding of Inmarsats GX proposition and a semblance of the competition

The Market Development Department handles all matters related to the structure, functioning and growth of the European GNSS i.e. EGNSS market and works towards achievement of adoption of EGNSS. Some of the Departments tasks include Assessment of the evolution in size and structure of the satellitebased navigation market Management of users and stakeholders of different downstream applications to establish and implement roadmaps for the EGNSS adoption based on identified user communities needs and requirements Defining and implementing the EGNSS market entry plan for the main downstream segments Monitoring KPIs of downstream markets and modelling the market evolution Analysing of the EGNSS value chain and engage main players in adopting EGNSS Assessing projections of revenues and benefits from services and applications Motivating and supporting entrepreneurship for the development of new EGNSS applications Supporting European Commission initiatives for the development and adoption of regulated applications, particularly in cases where legislative and regulatory measures prove necessary to enable panEuropean applications Managing RD projects under delegation of the European Commission Establishing a database of information on GALILEO and EGNOS to encourage and facilitate the startup of new ventures in downstream markets Managing relations with innovation centres, user communities, entrepreneurships and other market agents TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Market Development Officer will be responsible for management of RD activities, both focussing on application development and development of user terminals and will support the Team in other related tasks as specified below Management of RD project portfolio Preparation of technical specifications of RD projects aimed at the development of applications and user terminals Planning, management of the projects, coordination of support teams, including procurement and legal team, technical and business experts and interfacing internal stakeholders at GSA and European Commission Contribution to the definition of RD strategy for EGNSS adoption. Contribution to the definition of GNSS services and system evolution requirements Having a deep understanding of GNSS features, competitive systems and user trends, preparation of annual update of Galileo and EGNOS value proposition, presenting the value added of European GNSS compared to other satellite navigation systems and other positioning technologies Support for the preparation of Mission Requirements Definition MRD document by translating user needs into services requirements for each user community. Implementation of actions aimed at EGNSS adoption Implement market development actions, giving highest priority to those most leveraging EGNSS differentiators for the users Analyse results of application market user tests Act as the entry point for key market stakeholders in each market segment Contribute to the overall GSA processes such as quality management and reporting.
