Leveraging on the technical expertise accumulated within the Group by operating satellites for almost 30 years, SES Techcom provides technical services to the Satellite Industry on a worldwide basis. In this project related position you will be hired for two years to primarily support the design, development, testing and delivery of system and services on behalf of governmental services and humanitarian aid. The solutions shall support and facilitate customers activities in the area of ecare, elearning, esurveillance ehealth and disaster recovery. You will support the preparation of technical proposals in response to international tenders and the contribution to the development, implementation, and improvement of ground based services and systems. Key activities include the collection of SES customer requirements, the engineering of software systems, the preparation of technical studies, reports, specifications, contractual documentation and operational guidelines and the coordination of small multidisciplinary and multicultural project teams while working with SES internal and external partners. You will also support the attraction of new projects for SES and SES Techcom Services in cooperation with the sales team, you will contribute the preparation of tenders and proposals. Responsibilities Deliver projects and services to customers within the agreed budget, specification and schedule, by providing the team with support to the following activities Specify, design, evaluate, implement, test and deploy software and networking infrastructure Interface customer to collect requirements, setup of budgets, procurements, installation management and the operational handover of systems Procure equipment, software and services necessary to build the infrastructure at customer sites and manage shipment Design and implement softwarecomputer architecture andor modifications to comply with specific customer requirements such as their standards, interfaces, software and hardware technologies In the scope of the project, coordinate with other functions Project Control, Legal, Finance for the transparent and effective realization of assigned project In coordination with the Service Management team, be responsible of the 2nd Level Customer Support for the delivered system Followup on technology development in the area of expertise and make recommendations regarding evolution of SES and SES Techcom Services and products Interface and engage with external partners e.g. customers, NGOs, Government bodies, investment partners, vendors, shareholders, etc..
