ResponsibilitiesDuties Certification as a Spacecraft Controller for the GEO Spacon Team Commanding and control of missions as assigned to the team Support the LEOP, Commissioning and IOT phases in a 24X7 shift team Monitoring of the health status of all satellites components Levell response to anomalies, based on procedures Maintaining a console log for all shift activities Support to test, simulation campaigns Support procedure and other OPS document writingupdate Activation of engineering support if required User Help Desk first Response Work is delivered mostly in 16X5 shift team in rotating shifts but you must be willing to work in nights too if requested Regular Oncall support QualificationsExperience Good educational background in Aerospace not necessary, in case of many years of relevant experience At least 2 years of experience in any domain of Spacecraft or Ground Segment operations Security clearance might be requested up to level Secret based on customer requirement. Citizenship of any country of EU or legal stay in EU for longer than 5 years is mandatory to fulfill this requirement. Flight Operation Plans FOP Controller mwd

A key document in all ESOC supported missions is the Flight Operations Plan FOP, which is written for each mission by the relevant mission control team. It contains detailed mission event time lines, procedures for all nominal operations, and a large number of procedures dealing with anomalous or contingency situations. The FOP is of key importance for ESOC and it is subjected to a comprehensive cycle of formal reviews and validation using various means including simulators and actual spacecraft hardware. The writing, review, validation and update process is a long term activity and it is essential that the document is maintained under configuration control at all times, throughout the mission lifetime. The EILS team currently provides a FOP support service to ESOC, including monitoring and reporting on the completion of all FOP related test and review actions, both internal to ESOC, and external with the Project and Industry. This position is based at ESOC in Darmstadt. It is fulltime and permanent and expected starting date will be around September 2019 or later. We are looking forward to meeting you! ResponsibilitiesDuties As part of the EILS service, support the current FOP production process at ESOC, including creating, coordinating and maintaining the FOP production schedule tracking of proposed inputschanges and control of proper incorporation of approved changes into the FOP maintenance of a filingarchiving system for FOP inputschange requests monitoring the progress of all FOP review and validation activities Gaining competence in Flight Operation Procedures management and supporting the evolution of the FOP process, tools and methods. interfacing with the Enable project for what concerns the FOP configuration control. SPECIFIC TASKS The work covers foremost schedule control activities and may cover project control, administration support and document management task, as required by the projects. As such it includes the following main tasks Contribute to the preparation, development and maintenance of the overall schedule aspects of the projectmissions, including all mission elements. The post holder shall establish and maintain regular schedule reporting from all mission elements, aggregate and integrate the schedules to a project reference schedule Advise on Schedule and Control methods Assist in establishing schedule data interfaces within the science project and the various mission elements ground segment, spacecraft, payload, launcher Support implementing and operating planning and control procedures to provide full visibility on all activities related to the progress, utilizing established procedures and information systems the post holder shall interact and, if necessary, provide schedule support to mission participants in industry and academia to ensure the uptodate and accurate schedule reporting Participate in the establishment of baseline schedule and plans Perform schedule analysis through Critical Path Analysis, Trend Chart Analysis and simulations Assist in the identification of potential problem areas and proposing mitigation actions preparing reports as required Verify consistency between the schedule of the project Prime Contractors and the ones of his Subcontractors Support in the preparation of tender documents with respect to schedule requirements and participating in the evaluation of proposals assist in preparing information required for subsequent contract negotiations Support the Project Controllers of the assigned missions and the Head of the Project Control and Risk Management Service in executing their duties. Support the consolidation of inputs for the Cosmic Vision overall schedule. Utilization of relevant local andor Corporate management support tools at both project and programme level. REQUIREMENTS Good working background in scheduling and other disciplines related to the tasks described Experience is essential in the application of schedule management and control principles the preparation, negotiation and implementation of industrial procurements Ability to establishutilize advanced schedule control techniques.
