Mechanical Design System Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities Our customer is a European leader in exciting and technologically sophisticated projects in the areas of space transportation and satellites. In this role you will have the following responsibilities Mechanical configuration of satellites, payloads and mechanisms Development of mechanical designs for satellites and instrument structures Development of lightweight structure designs in particular highly stable structures Employing new design concepts and materials such as composites fibrereinforced and ceramics Development and documentation of mechanical designs under consideration of functional, material and manufacturing requirements and constraints Installation and integration studies on satellite and subsystem levels Hardware procurement and manufacturing support Generation of product definition drawings and documentation for bids and projects.
