Position Reference 930 We are currently looking for a Configuration and Documentation Manager to work in the RHEA Office in the city of Frascati, Italy. The Configuration and Documentation Manager will be in charge of implementing an Operation Configuration Management System maintaining the overall configuration of the Copernicus Ground Segment GS elements and corresponding baseline documentation, and supporting the evolution of the system over time. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Definition and setup of the Configuration Management System, including interactive operational interfaces for configuration query and retrieval. Ingestion of the current Copernicus GS configuration, including quality control configuration reference processing scenarios data processing baseline relevant satellite configuration Setup of all interfaces needed for prompt configuration update. Definition and setup of a Document Management Tool storing the baseline technical documentation linked to the relevant configuration items. Reception, storage and maintenance of the baseline documentation. Support to the implementation of a interactive tool providing a visual representation of the GS layout and the configuration evolution of its elements, service instances and interfaces. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory University degree in Engineering or a technical field that provides similar competences. At least 5 years of experience in Configuration and Documentation Management. Working knowledge on implementation, setup and maintenance of Configuration and Documentation Management systems. Quality minded, with focus on data quality and version control. Proficiency in Microsoft office, Word, Excel. Teamwork capabilities. Ability to work autonomously. Capacity of achieving schedule and milestones. Fluency in English, both written and spoken. The following skills and experience are highly desirable JIRA experience. Job Description We are looking for a Configuration and Documentation Management Officer on behalf of the European Space Agency ESA for their location in Noordwijk, The Netherlands, to join their Project Control and Management Support Office for Copernicus. The Copernicus Programme within the Earth Observation Directorate is looking to recruit an experienced Configuration and Documentation Management CADM Officer. Heshe will work across the Copernicus Programme and also be assigned to work on specific Projects. This split will change with time and project needs. The post holder will report hierarchically to the Head of the Copernicus Project Control and Management Support Office and functionally to the relevant project managers. Heshe will liaise on a daily basis with the relevant Product Assurance Managers, Project Controllers and the EOP QMS responsible. Please note, the successful candidate will be employed by ATG Europe and not by ESA. Support the control of the evolution of the Project Baseline Requirements and the provision of traceability of the changes. Support the setting up and coordination of Project Reviews to ensure the availability of the Data package and manage the RIDeRID System. Support the implementation and maintenance of adequate configuration control methods and procedures, consistent with applicable standardsrequirements Provide status data and maintaining a wellstructured configuration record system. Support the settingup and monitoring of operations and maintenance of the Project Data Management System DMS Document Configuration and Change Management DCCM within the Eclipse software Suite for management, storage and control of ESA Unclassified with Limited Distribution e.g. ITAREAR Docs and Classified Information Assist in the preparation of project audits. Support configuration audits and configuration inspections. Perform Data collection, extraction from different Corporate applications e.g. PRISMA, Eclipse, and from various internal sources and data consistency checking and coherence analysis. Support the project documentalists in retrieving documents from local DMS, DMSs from external partners andor industry. Train staff and contractors on Eclipse and other DMS tools. Liaise with industrial partners CADM officers and documentalists for exchanging data and resolving documentation and configuration related issues.
