Mission Control Applications Engineer 1513048 Job Description We are looking for a Mission Control Applications Engineer to support our client EUMETSAT in the Mission Control Applications and Tools Team and you will contribute to the requirements specification, design and development of Mission Control Applications for new Programmes PhaseBCD, including the setting up of the related maintenance arrangements and processes. Our client, based near Frankfurt in Germany, is responsible for establishing and operating weather forecasting and Earth observation satellite programmes with associated data telemetry and dissemination operations. They are seeking consultancy support for software development and maintenance of mission control components and applications designed with an objectoriented approach and client server architecture. The development cycle includes the typical phases requirements, design, development, testing with formal procedures related to configuration control, verification against the software requirements and rollout into operations. Development ranges in a mixed Windows and Unix environment, from fixing problems and engineering changes, technical support to the continuous operation of the system, including analysis, investigation and resolution with creation of appropriate documentation.
