The European Global Navigation Satellite Systems Agency GSA has set up a selection procedure that aims to establish a reserve list for Galileo Senior Operations Engineer. The Galileo Senior Operations Engineer shall report to the Galileo Operations and Maintenance Manager. Such reporting may change according to potential evolutions of the organisation. The Galileo Senior Operations Engineer tasks and responsibilities may or shall include without limitation Participating in the daybyday coordination of Galileo Operations and L1 maintenance activities and its evolutions as part of the future Galileo Services Operations GSOp contract management team Evaluating the status of the current Galileo System operations and service provision, and interfacing with the GSOp Contractor to ensure the preparation and execution of operations and plans Actively participating in the chain of command as defined by the Galileo Mission Rules assessing, in the case of contingencies, whether the mission objectives can be met and assisting with declaring the mission impacted, if required Chairing and participating in anomaly review boards, supporting the evaluation and authorisation of any recovery action required, in particular by defining criticalityurgency for any anomaly resolution Reviewing the Service Improvement Plan SIP and associated Preliminary Change Implementation Proposal PCIP and documenting the operations improvements Actively participating in the Planning process, in particular reviewing the LongTerm Plan and chairing and approving the MidTerm Plan Ensuring the operational readiness of both ground and space segments, reviewing Operational Preparation and Validation Plans and preparingparticipating in the relevant reviews including but not limited to Operations Readiness Reviews ORRs Contributing to and approving the Galileo Operations and L1 maintenance related documentation e.g. MOCD, Handover Execution Plan, Operational Documentation Set, Weekly and Monthly Operations Reports, Quarterly Service Progress Reports Reviewing and approving of the Space Segment deployment plan and associated document set Monitoring of LEOP and InOrbit Testing operations, including attendance at briefings, review of postpass reports and execution logs Reviewing the relevant Key Performance Indicators, the service performance reports, the services provision risks and the contracts changes proposals Analysing the services provision and operations changes baseline configuration changes or deviations, operations processes evolutions and services provision transitions Identifying risks related to the Galileo Service Provision and defining, proposing and implementing risk mitigation action plans Ensuring the technical interface with the European Space Agency ESA and industry for what concerns all Operations and L1 maintenance aspects Preparing Specific Contracts, Contract Change Requests and evaluating related Proposals Monitoring of Operations team arrangementsstaffing approach and define coordination mechanisms Supporting the Galileo Exploitation for any topics related to Galileo services, mission and system evolution, and contributing to any others tasks of Department, as necessary For a more detailed job description and further information on the application procedure please visit our career website httpwww.gsa.europa.eugsajobsopportunities

Senior Product Assurance Engineer, Spacecraft Programmes Ref SES0853 Region Europe Location Germany Bremen Company SES Category Space Engineering Position Staff Published 20160708 Context Considering the SES, ESA and OHB agreement to develop the AllElectric Propulsion Satellite ELECTRA, SES is searching for a Resident Product Assurance Engineer to support the ELECTRA procurement activities. The Product Assurance Engineer will be part of the SES Resident Field Office located at the OHB facility in Bremen, Germany. The SES Field Offices are established at the manufacturer facilities to oversee all programme activities until the satellite is launched to ensure on quality, on cost and on schedule satellites that meet SES Customers needs. The Product Assurance Engineer is responsible for the quality standard of parts, materials and processes applied into the construction of the ELECTRA satellite. The Product Assurance Engineer shall ensure the contractual Product Assurance Plan is effectively and timely implemented for the ELECTRA programme, meeting contractual performance requirements, and maintaining SES reputation for technical excellence and delivery. The ELECTRA programme has two major phases and each phase will last approximately 36 months. The data reduction pipelines are used in two operational environments, by the ESO Data Flow Operations at Garching, and by the Paranal Science Operations PSO, for the quicklook assessment of data, the healthmonitoring of instruments and detectors, the generation of master calibration data, the reduction of scientific exposures, and data quality control.
