Scientific onsite consultancy support is sought to contribute to the development of product processing facilities of the EUMETSAT Polar System Second Generation EPSSG ground segment. The engineer will provide support in the area of optical imaging for prototyping activities and support to the generation of product generation specifications, calibration validation plans, test data and performance budgets. The engineers expertise includes optical imaging and strong programming skills. The initial support duration covers two years, starting in January 2016 two options covering one year each are foreseen. PROFILE Scientific consultancy will be sought in the areas of optical imaging to support the development work for the optical imagers METimage visibleinfrared multispectral, mediumresolution imager and 3MI Multiviewing, Multichannel, Multipolarisation imager. The engineer shall have the experience and capability to fulfil the assigned tasks with a minimum level of supervision.
