Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Contribute to the Operations Change Control Board by preparing, reviewing and assessing changes to the contractual and technical baseline in the frame of the Service Provision activities. Support the reviewevolution of Service Operator performance through the participation on relevant reviews and meetings and through the monitoring of the Service Provision activities performed by the Service Operator. Coordinate the service improvement process and act as the book captain of the relevant Service Operations Procedure Interface SOPI. Contribute to the evolution and monitoring of the Galileo technical baseline, participating to the Engineering Boards with particular focus on changes relevant to the Service operations contract. Support the Service Provision Manager, in particular in the frame of the Service Operations contract. Job description For our customer, ESOC in Darmstadt, Germany, we are seeking for Flight Dynamics Operations Engineers who should provide support to Science missions in one of the following domains GNC telemetry monitoring GNC command generation Orbit Determination Trajectory optimization but who might be requested to assume the responsibility and perform activities for additional service, missions and activities within the scope of general Flight Dynamics operations engineering services. Primary activities are related to EXOMARS RSP, JUICE and EUCLID but they may also be required for missions like GAIA, Bepi Colombo, Mars Express, ExoMars TGO and Hera. This is a fulltime position to be located at ESOCs premises in Darmstadt with the planned start date as soon as possible in 2021 but not later than 1st February 2021. Approx. 400 hours per year of oncall and one European mission per year are foreseen. GSA AND SECURITY DEPARTMENT The European GNSS Agency GSA is responsible for the operations and service provision for the European Global Navigation Satellite Systems GNSS EGNOS and Galileo. By developing a new generation of GNSS, Europe is laying the foundation for new hightechnology industry development, leading to job creation and economic growth. These European flagship space programmes, which embody what can be achieved when Europe works together, are already bringing real benefits to people and business in Europe and around the world. The European GNSS infrastructure includes approximately worldwide 30 sites for Galileo and 50 sites for EGNOS. With the introduction of the new Space Regulation, expected to enter into force in 2021, the Agency will expand its scope of activities beyond Galileo and EGNOS, to other components, such as Copernicus for Earth Observation, GOVSATCOM for Governmental Space Communications and Space Situational Awareness SSA. In particular, in the security field, the Agency will be entrusted with the direct responsibility of the operational security of Galileo and EGNOS. At the same time, securityrelated activities will be entrusted to the Agency also in the other components. In order to get ready to perform the new activities, the Agency intends to fill several positions for Security Engineers with different profiles to be involved in the expected activities of all components.
