For permanent employment the Navigation Systems department at OHB System AG in Bremen is looking for a Satellite Operations System Engineer for Galileo mfd Your Tasks As a Satellite Operations System Engineer for Galileo, you will be assigned to the GSOp project. You will report to the project manager and will be responsible for the execution of the technical activities including Lead the technical queries and anomaly investigations in collaboration with the satellite operations teams Coordinate with the external stakeholders involved in the space segment maintenance activities in the frame of the weekly Anomaly Review Board and other technical meetings. Coordinate with the internal System and Subsystem teams for technical expertise Design and validate the recovery actions with the help of experts and support their implementation inflight Process and analyse the telemetry and maintain the supporting tools and infrastructure Participate to the preparation of technical proposals for the customer Contribute to the development of our activities within Galileo You will also have the opportunity to support the other Galileo projects of the Navigation department. In this frame, you will report to the Lead Operations System Engineer. Prepare the operational products for the satellites to be launched User Manuals, Flight Control Procedures, Validate the operational products on the satellite test bench, Participate as an Operations Engineer to the operation preparation campaigns Simulation, test campaigns, Participate and coordinate to the LEOP, IOT and Special Operations activities SW Upgrade, satellite recovery, Support the Galileo System and SubSystem teams for the technical activities involving the operations. Your Qualifications Degree in aerospace engineering, or equivalent Good knowledge of satellite systems, experience in satellite operations is a plus Proactive and selfmanaged working style Ability to work in a team Working level proficiency in written and spoken English German or other language skills is advantageous Willing to travel to our customers sites

Activity field 1Satellite Mechanical Thermal Design 2Satellite Dynamic Analyses and Attitude Control Academic professional preparation Masters Degree in Space and Astronautical Engineering, and II level Master in Space Transportation Systems. Knowledge of software for numerical computation and dynamic simulation eg. Matlab, Simulink, etc.. 1Activity description Satellite system engineering activities related to structural and thermal design, aimed to specifying the requirements for design and verification of structure and thermal control of satellite. Accomplishment of mechanical and thermal analyses through the finite element methods, the mechanical analyses include both static and dynamic cases while for thermal analyses are envisaged both steady state and transient cases. Support to apply the defined procedure for carrying out thermoelastic analyses to current programs as ROSEL and CIMR, and to verify the results vs bench marks, in order to improve the reliability of this procedure and to issue a document to be used as technical reference. Management and reduction of complex finite element models, in order to be used in satellite dynamic models. To establish and maintain CAD mathematical models of satellite, to perform analysis aimed to define satellite design requirements to meet geometrical and mass properties requirements issued by launchers to compute and update the satellite mass properties, according to development of design, to feed the satellite data bank, the satellite structural FEM and satellite mass budget to define geometrical compatibility of satellite appendages solar array and antennas reflector and their cinematic of deployment to support the design tradeoff for mass balancing of satellite and instrument. Accomplishment of mechanical through the finite element methods, the mechanical analyses include both static and dynamic cases. It is requested the attitude to improve the knowledge of used tools for CAD and finite element analyses, through personal theoretical study and on the job training. It is requested the attitude to follow the entire design chain, from acquisition and understanding of requirements, provided by customer, to accomplishment of the design and its final verification before launch. 2Activity description Satellite system engineering activities related to satellite dynamic analysis, aimed to specify the requirements for the design and verification of satellite attitude control subsystem, and to specify the in orbit loads requirement for satellite appendages e.g. solar array, antennas, etc.. Determine the effect of environmental disturbances and orbit control maneuvers on stability of appendages, in particular on the stability of reflectors of antennas, to provide input for RF performances analyses, and to demonstrate the compatibility of attitude control subsystem with the deployment of appendices and with the instruments nominal and calibration modes. It is requested the attitude to learn new tools for finite element analyses, both in mechanical and thermal design fields, through personal theoretical study and on the job training, in case of specific requirements from customers.
