The MOIS Scheduler is a constraint checking tool based on a generic planning model. It provides a resource and constraints modelling capability and can be tailored for specific applications. Rhea is currently searching for a MOIS software support engineer to join our team in Darmstadt. This role would suit recent graduate engineers looking for a first or second position, or a satellite operations engineer with experience of MOIS, seeking more experience in software development. Typical work will include user support, product maintenance and extensions and is also likely to involve participation in RD projects for the European Space Agency. The MOIS support will take place in the RHEA offices next to the ESOC facility as well as onsite in ESOC. Experience with the ESOC software maintenance tool and process GIMUS is a plus. PROFILE In addition to holding a University graduate in software engineering or equivalent. Parttime Software Engineering Support for the Maintenance of the MTP Image Processing System 1313077 Job Description The main task of the consultant will be the maintenance of the operational MTP Image Processing System IPS software, in particular, the algorithm and data processing aspects of the software. Typically, the tasks of the Consultant will include Investigation into anomalies in the MTP Image Processing System. Specification of modifications to the MTP Image Processing System. Implementation of modifications to the MTP Image Processing System. Verification and validation of modifications to the MTP Image Processing System. Update to the design and user documentation for the MTP Image Processing System Support to the operation of the MTP Image Processing System. Support to the preparations for MTP image reprocessing. Required Skills and Experience University degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline. The Consultant shall have strong mathematical skills and at least three years recent experience in Implementation of numerical algorithms, ideally in an image processing context. The VMS operating system. The C, FORTRAN and Pascal programming languages. The Consultant shall be able to conduct all activities in an orderly and disciplined manner, shall be able to work calmly and correctly under stress and must be able to work with the minimum of supervision. Good communication, presentation and listening skills are an advantage. Fluency in English is mandatory together with good communication skills.
