Your mission The Secure Operations Team is responsible for the overall management of Galileo Secure Operations Components and for the execution of GCS prime operations and GMS Ground Mission Segment backup operations, including activities related to nonsecure in a cross certified environment. The scope of this work package is to fulfill the tasks of the Secure Operations engineer within the Galileo Service Operator GSOp phase. As part of the Ground Operations Team, the Secure Operations Engineer contributes to the regular reporting, support milestones defined by the project and to internalexternal servicesactivities as defined by the Secure Operations and Ground Engineering Managers.The scope of activities includes regular trips to the control center in Italy and interface with other operations teams or DLR GfR customers. Responsibilities Operations preparation Prepare, support and execute system, segment and element operation validation activities develop and review Operations Plans and Operations Concept documents support and execute simulation test campaigns System Validation and EndtoEnd tests Operations planning and coordination assist with the planning and coordination of Ground Operations activities provide planning inputs and execution feedback for Secure Operations activities Operations executionsupport take over ground or secure operations positionduty on call provide support to secureground segment users for preparation or execution operations activities monitor performance of secureground services and trigger corrective actions handle incidents and anomaly writing, processing, support of review boards according to KPI interface with groundspace segment external entities for data exchange and service outage troubleshooting take over duty oncall to provide SecureGround Operations Support 247 Operations development provide support for the progressive automation of Constellation Operations provide Engineer Support to assess Galileo Control Segment enhancementsmodifications Training maintain and develop subject matter expert SME training material Secure Operations Team Support maintain Secure Operations Team products Secure Operations Procedures, Secure Operations Plans, Workaround databases, etc. building the interface between the Secure Operations teams in Germany and Italy to warranty and ensure the provision of navigation services support in the optimization of the Ops concept between GCS and GMS secure operations Skill Requirements Masters degree in engineering or equivalent Experience in groundspace system operations preparation engineering and execution, or Maintenance Knowledge of navigation groundspace segment such as Egnos or Galileo Previous experience in working with classified information Comfortable using Linux Self Learner An advanced level of English is mandatory
