Product Assurance Engineer Contract Employment Type 6 months Initial Contract Key Purpose To provide PA engineering support to the Galileo FOC project team To ensure that the Galileo FOC project is delivered to the contractual PA plan and documentation Support customer facing nonconformance review boards and milestone reviews Support supplier facing reviews Key Tasks Manage nonconformances at both equipment and Payload level and work with engineers to address and close out Manage Customer facing nonconformance review boards, at both equipment and Payload level, including chairing the meeting, recording minutes and actions and updating project systems Support supplier facing milestone reviews Test Readiness Reviews, Acceptance Reviews, Delivery Readiness Reviews etc. including review of data packs, submission of review item discrepancies, participation in milestone reviews, including support to the Project and Engineering teams where required Managing, processing and obtaining level approval of Requests for Deviation RFD, Requests for Waiver RFW Requests for Approval RFA in conjunction with the customers Engineering. Support mandatory inspection points MIPs for the supplier hardware as required, involving review of documentation, general verification of the build status and overall inspection approval of the MIP Internal reporting of PA metrics at Project level Knowledge, Skills and Experience Experience in the space industry or similar, high reliability, engineering environment, ideally with some exposure to Product Assurance, in the frame of Project delivery Experience in of working to ECSS standards, but would be beneficial, but not essential Experience of working in a fastpaced, customerfacing environment Experience in a project led design and development environment is desirable Working knowledge appreciation of contractual and commercial factors Technical background and a number of years working in an environment subject to quality assurance requirements A working understanding of any of the following technologies would be beneficial o Analogue digital electronics o RF and or EMC o Composite structures or mechanical structural analysis o Spacecraft integration test o Propulsion systems Knowledge Skills Good written, interpersonal and customer presentation skills Highly organised good projecttime management skills Good people management skills, able to motivate individuals and the team. Able to work within a pressurised environment Ability to proactively progress work to completion, drawing on inputs from the rest of the project team Location Contract for 6 months initially

Product Assurance Engineer

One of our space clients in Denmark is looking for a Product Assurance Engineer. The projects the client is working on are power projects for ESA and Non ESA customers. Most of them are either full ECSS or a reduced set of PA requirements. The possible candidate must possess a strong background in ECSS on hardware and possibly in power electronics. This is currently a long term consultancy position and would suit an engineer with at least five years within the space industry. Tasks for this roles Write Product Assurance, contamination, safety and component management plans. Participate and prepare milestone reviews PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR, etc. with the customer and ESA. Provide Product Assurance support in the design process with respect to FMECA, WCA, Radiation, PSA etc. Prepare declared lists DPL, DML, DMPL, and DCL and drive the MPCB process. Familiar with ECSS Standards.

Tasks and Responsibilities Supporting the Euclid PA S Manager in all activities related to the execution of the Product Assurance Programme for the Euclid Project and deputising for the PA S Manager as required Supporting the Tender Evaluation Process ESA Best Practice review approval of the PAS aspects of ITTs, evaluating proposals submitted in response to ITTs and supporting the selection of contractors for the project Actively participate, and represent ESA, in the Design Review Process at System, Instrument and Unit Level Support the Risk Management and Configuration Management Processes within the ESA Project Team, including the disposition of Request for Deviations and Request for Waivers RFDs RFWs Supporting the PAS Manager to ensure the effective implementation and execution of the nonconformance identification and reporting mechanisms within the contractor supply chain and confirm the correct and formal closure of NCRs Together with the Satellite Prime and the Instrument Primes, review ESA Alerts for potential impact to the Euclid project and, internally, the ESA IPNs Internal Problem Notifications, ensuring they are formally addressed and closedout Support the Satellite and Instrument Primes in monitoring the manufacturing, integration and test activities using manufacturing readiness reviews MRR, mandatory inspection points MIPs, test readiness reviews TRRs, test review boards TRBs and, where necessary, quality assurance audits Assist the PAS Manager in ensuring that all formally delivered items within the Project supply chain conform with requirements using formal acceptance reviews Delivery Review Boards DRBs Produce reports on project and review activities, including conclusions and recommendations where necessary, participate in progress meetings, when needed and reporting on project PA status Extensive travel within Europe is required. Requirements As per Job Class in engineering or technical sciences Minimum of 6 years experience in Product Assurance and Quality Assurance in the aerospace domain. Good interpersonal, organisation and communication skills, with the ability to work in a diverse team environment Knowledge of Configuration Management or the implementation of Product Assurance within a quality system certified to ISO 9001 would be an asset.
