The Position Welcome to Space We are looking for a Scientist with experience in the wide field of Earth Observation and Remote Sensing! Assigned to a service at our customer EUMETSAT, you will support a wide range of scientific and technical activities related to the definition, implementation, maintenance and evolution of the CalVal functions of a suite of UVVisNIRSWIR imaging spectrometer missions in various operational ground segments including MetOp GOME2, Copernicus Sentinel4 and Sentinel5, and potentially Copernicus CO2M. This role is routed in the mission of EUMETSAT and will provide the opportunity to work with leading IT, Space and Earth Observation organisations and domain experts to make a positive impact on society! This position is located within the Remote Sensing and Products RSP Division, which is tasked with providing the scientific expertise required to develop, implement, validate, maintain and evolve the operational observational products from all EUMETSAT satellites and agreed third party missions for example Copernicus Sentinel3, Sentinel4, Sentinel5, and Sentinel6, as well as establishing the user requirements for future EUMETSAT satellite programmes.
