Any development of this low is expected to be slow to occur during the next few days while it drifts northeastward close to the coasts of Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina. After that time, strong upper-level winds are expected to limit the development potential. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...10 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...low...20 percent. An elongated area of low pressure continues to produce disorganized cloudiness and thunderstorms southwest of the Cape Verde Islands while it moves westward at about 15 mph. Significant development of this system is unlikely due to an unfavorable dry airmass over the tropical Atlantic Ocean. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...10 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...low...10 percent. A tropical wave is forecast to move off the west coast of Africa by late Sunday.
