Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory You have a Technical Degree Bsc., Diploma or equivalent from a recognised Institution or equivalent. You have experience in educational projects, notably for primary and secondary schools. You have sound knowledge and experience in Multimedia edition Videos production, postproduction, image processing, CAD design, web 2.0, JavaScript, augmented reality,. We are looking for an EAD Operational Support Expert for our air traffic control client located in Brussels. Location Brussels Contract type Freelance or Contract Duration 1 up to 5 years Hours Fulltime Scope EUROCONTROL, the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation, is an intergovernmental Organisation with 41 Member States, committed to building, together with its partners, a Single European Sky that will deliver the air traffic management performance required for the twentyfirst century and beyond. Network Management Directorate NMD delivers the network management functions and services at PanEuropean level, thus supporting civil and military customers in their obligation to meet their objectives in general and specifically those applicable under the SES II performance regime. The NMD Work Programme is an integral part of the Air Traffic Management ATM value chain aimed at delivering performance, in particular safety, capacity and flight efficiency. Within the NMD organisation, the EAIM Unit is responsible for the EUROCONTROL EAD European Aeronautical Database Service and the oversight of Information Management function with the following objectives Managing and developing the EAD Service to support the Network Manager, FABs, ANSPs, Users and international stakeholders Ensuring the availability and completeness of aeronautical data including airspace data for the delivery of the Network Management Operational functions Ensuring the correctness, consolidation and formalisation of data, required by the Network Management function with respect to aeronautical information, airspace, and other associated data including archived data. The EAD is the reference database of qualityassured aeronautical information, owned by the Agency on behalf of the EUROCONTROL Organisation Member states. The System allows the provision of services in support of national AIS facilities as well as of all other users of aeronautical information. It provides an effective solution to the demands of the datausing aviation community and scope for future growth in the demand for AIS products. The evolution of EAD is realised in accordance with the EAD Data ProviderUser community feedbacks, and deployed in the EAD application software release according to the EAD Change Management and Release Management plans. The objective of the role Depending on the need of the EAD Operations service provision, the contractor shall be assigned and shall complete some or all of the following tasks Performing reviews of the DOP documentationprocedures as part of EAD Release planning and outside adhoc andor annual, monitoring the status and coordination of the required actions within the EAIM Operations Analysis of the operational incidents reported by Data Providers DP Data Users DU reported in EAD Service Desk and coordination with the EAIM Operations specialists to ensure resolution Monitoring and reporting on the progress of the long lasting operational incidents and ongoing operational tasks and coordinating within EAIM Operations to ensure resolution Contribution to processes, procedures and improvement initiatives through the working arrangements with Stakeholders, e.g. development and delivery of the working papers presentations on the EAD operational matters to the EAD SSGAI Operations SubGroup and within AgencyNMD Working Arrangements if required Support EAD harmonisation guidance development and change requests proposals for handbooks, Operational Manuals resulting from ICAO SARPS Amendments, etc. Support to the EAD Operational meetings with DOPWorkshops, organisation and content preparation Provision of the Operational expertise to support the maintenance of the EAD certification by EASA incl. development of the supporting documents e.g. Operational input for CAP development and implementation documentation review, support to the dedicated meetings with DOP Support to reviews of the monthly performance reports DOP and TRG Support to review and analysis of the EAD Data Consistency Reports Data Providers and processing of the biannual DCR reports Performing oversight of documents, KPI reports and services delivered by our EAD suppliers, GroupEAD and Frequentis. Tasks and Responsibilities The candidate is to execute, in the context of the creation of the PABI PostOPS Analysis and Business Intelligence data warehouse, software development assignment to automate the ingestion of a number of data sources of varying complexity such that they become available for selfservice analytics. The candidate shall fully cooperate with personnel from other contractors with our Client to achieve assignments.
