IT User Support Analyst Key Tasks and Responsibilities Our customer is a European organisation providing weather and climaterelated satellite data, images and products for its users. As part of the Information and Communication Technology Systems team, you will have the following responsibilities Act as first contact point for user tickets and phone calls which includes the routing, monitoring and escalation of Service Desk tickets Installconfigureadministrate desktop, notebook systems and hardware peripherals Administer user IT accounts, manage user permissions provide first and second level user and technical support, particularly in the area of standard desktop applications Windows 7, Office 2007, Visio, Internet Explorer, etc Administrateconfigureset up users phone as well as helping to establish conference calls using a Videoconferencing System or WebEx Contribute to the preparation of IT information on the Intranet and training material including presentationsviewgraphs, demonstrations and online training as well as provide coaching and one on one training to IT Users. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience Several years of experience in in the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of MS Windows 7, MS Office, MS Outlook, Visio, MS Project and Internet Explorer Extensive experience in user support focusing on customer service under high workload Fluency in English is mandatory. Tasks The corporate ICT environment supports the generic office computing needs of EUMETSAT. It does not support any of the satellite control and operations activities nor satellite product generation and distribution, which are based on a separate, dedicated infrastructure. The major elements of the EUMETSAT corporate ICT environment are the user desktopslaptops and standard office applications the data centre MS file print servers, MS Windows application servers the Email and GroupWare System MS Exchange 2007 the network infrastructure LAN including network security and Internet connectivity. the phone system AlcatelLucent The User Support Analyst will report to the Service Desk Manager and work according to the teams agreed service levels, defined working practices and procedures. Experience in using a ticketing system like Remedy or HP OpenView Experience in performing user administration in MS Active Directory and MS Exchange Experience in using software distribution systems e.g. Novell ZENworks, MS SCCM Experience in maintaining users and phones in telephone systems Experience in using Videoconferencing Systems and Cisco WebEx In addition, the following knowledge shall be considered an advantage Experience in hardware installation, maintenance and troubleshooting desktop PC, notebooks, network printers, scanners Experience in a structured, ISO 9000 certified andor ITIL based Information technology service environment Professional certification as MCP Windows 7 or any other professional certifications e.g. MCP MS Office, etc. Experience in providing 1st level support for SAP. Balch Conduit Support Project Construction Starts in Summer 2015

Environmental Service has completed designing a project that will replace and abandon pipes in poor condition and relieve street flooding and basement sewer backups in the area bounded by NW Yeon Avenue, NW 29th Avenue, NW Nicolai Avenue, and NW St. Helens Road. The project includes diverting stormwater to the Balch Consolidation Conduit sewer pipe, and replacing dams in the Balch Outfall pipe to prevent Willamette River water from backing up into the pipe during heavy rain events.

Tasks The Technical Scientific Support TSS Department and in particular the System Engineering and Projects SEP Division provides support to the development of new programmes and to the maintenance and engineering of evolutions of the operational ground segments. In this context, support is provided to the development of the Ground Segment for MTG Meteosat Third Generation, GMES Global Monitoring for Environment Security Sentinel3, Jason CS, EPS SG EUMETSAT Polar System Second Generation, which will ensure continuity of service to the current operational programmes MSG and EPS at the end of their life. The consultant will provide engineering support to the EPSSG Ground Segment Dataprocessing team in the frame of the EPSSG Preparatory Programme Phase B as well as to the Operations department in the frame of maintenance and evolution of the EPS data processing systems. The Consultant will support activities related to initially Phase B followed by phases CD of the EPSSG Programme in the area of data processing engineering. In this context attention is drawn to the mandatory nature of the programme. In the detail, support will be provided for the following tasks In Phase B Requirements engineering in DOORS for EPSSG data processing requirements. This includes review, specification and refinement of existing requirements, their uptraces to parent Ground Segment specifications, justifications and verification methods Ensure coherency of requirements with algorithms specifications Definition of ICDs between data processing elements and other GS functions Definition of Testing and Operational scenarios for data processing elements Definition of data processing concepts and tradeoffs to support requirements understanding and justification. In Phase CD Support the procurement of data processing elements by advising on technical solutions proposed by the contractor and by reviewing documentation to confirm its compliance with the requirements Support management of the requirements baseline for data processing elements Support refinement of ICDs Support testing, integration and acceptance of data processing elements. Phase E Support to maintenance activities, including characterisation of system component behaviour against required performance, proposal and implementation of system alterations including component modification to achieve required performance. Support to evolution activities, including conceptual design, requirements specification, functional modelling, system analysis, and concept development to support increased performance, rationalisation of components, and cost reduction. In addition, there will be regular involvement in the following tasks requiring interaction and coordination with other teams at System and Ground Segment level Review of System, Space Segment and Ground Segment documentation dealing with requirements, concepts, algorithms and technical analyses of relevance for data processing, including review of instrument data processing algorithms and calibration concepts defined by the Space Segment with emphasis on their implications on Ground Segment data processing concepts, interfaces and architecture Participation in formal reviews and technical meetings at System and Ground Segment level. Review of documentation dealing with technical evolution of the EUMETSAT infrastructure Essential requirements In addition to having a University degree or equivalent, including experience in the engineering, physics, or software or similar domains the key persons shall have the following mandatory attributes, skills, and experience Relevant experience in preparation of requirements, design, interfaces and testing documentation for data processing systems for Earth Observation missions experience on data processing for high data rates missions will be considered an asset. Relevant experience with L1L2 processing software for Earth Observation missions, either for operationsmaintenance or specification and development. Knowledge of the requirements engineering process, including relation between requirements, ICDs, design and testing documentation. Ability to learn and develop the needed skills and knowledge to contribute to the development of EPSSG. This includes the ability to rapidly absorb, and make use of, information presented in written and oral communications in a dynamic context. Willingness to work within a multidisciplinary context in cooperation with other teams. The ability to maintain a system overview is essential. They shall have a systematic approach to work, be able to plan their work and to cope with tight schedules and multiple tasks. They shall have the capability to write accurate and consistent technical documentation. It would be considered an advantage to have experience of the following Knowledge of the IBM DOORS tool or an equivalent for requirements management Knowledge of ECSS and CCSDS standards.
