TASKS The service support activities include the planning, development and installation of Configuration Management database systems and tools to address Clients Configuration Management needs via individual service requests. These service requests are issued in the form of Work Packages with a maximum effort allocation and cover activities which can be any of the following Evolutive and corrective maintenance of the existing tool instances managing Changes and Configuration Items related to Programmes and Projects being developed by client, and to Clients Operational systems feasibility studies, user software requirements, development, documentation, unit and verification testing, deployment on test and operational environments Creation, modification, update and version tracking of following Configuration Items Documentation management and technical documents, including SpacecraftGround Segment operational procedures, manuals and guides HW items computers, infrastructure, Comms equipments SW items including SW applications, COTS and associated Licences, ... Keeping up to date the mapping between SW and HW items. Review and proposal of improvements to existing applicable Clients Configuration Management processes and working practices Planning and preparation of above mentioned new CM tool instances releases. Monitoring and tuning of the tools performances, and impact assessment on existing Clients CM implementation. On a case by case basis, second level support to CM stakeholders support team, user representatives,. PROFILE The Service Support Personnel shall have a University degree in Computer Science, or an equivalent technical field. The minimum level is a Master. Specification, implementation and validation of BusinessManagement Processes electronic workflow applied to large softwareintensive high availability operational systems, ideally in the field of Configuration Management minimum 3 years. Administration of the Serena Dimensions CM tool installation from scratch, release and patch upgrade, endtoend process model implementation and verification, monitoring minimum 2 years Sound practical experience with an equivalent Configuration Management tool can be considered, providing the candidate starts his service with an extensive training on Serena Dimensions CM Administration. Software development with an object oriented programming language such as Java, C or vb.net. minimum 2 years. Software development environment such as Visual Studio minimum 2 years. SQL programming on Oracle or Sybase databases minimum 1 year is mandatory. Basic practical experience of Database administration is mandatory as well. Practical experience with Source code control tools such as CVS or SubVersion. System administration preferably on UNIX. Configuration Management standards such as CMMI, ISO or ESA ECSS will be considered as assets. In addition, the Service Support Personnel shall have demonstrated very good communication and team working skills. be able to conduct all activities in an orderly and disciplined manner, in particular when applying and supporting Clients Configuration Management processes and working practices. have demonstrated very good skills in documenting all his artefacts. be able to work calmly under stress with the minimum of supervision.

The keyperson will be involved in tasks related to the planning and preparation of System VV activities and following up assessing VV activities performed at Space Segment andor Ground Segment level as far as relevant for System VV. TASKS Refinement maintenance of the approach method, level, phase, etc. to be applied for verification of EPSSG System Requirements and recording in the DOORS database, used for System requirements management. In this context, specifically ensuring consistency with the verification approach applied at subSystem level e.g., Space Segment, Ground Segment through analysis of relevant documentation and iterations with those responsible for subSystem level verification. If occurring during the period covered by the consultancy, assessment and tracking of verification activities at subSystem level and recording of relevant results in the DOORS database. Support for the preparation maintenance of System VV test plans and test cases, taking into account the established approach for verification and, for validation, operational scenarios as identified in the EPSSG Reference Operation Plan. Preparation of prelaunch VV test specifications, with details about test objectives, test steps, needed resources, test tools test data, passfail criteria, etc. Contribution to the identification and specification of test tools test data sets, with the aim to ensure consistency with the defined test cases and test setup. Support for contribution to the inhouse development procurement of test tools test data sets. Planning of the later execution of System VV tests, taking into account delivery dates of subSystem elements, constraints imposed by the EPSSG toplevel schedule such as dates for relevant System reviews, test interdependencies, etc. In addition the keyperson will be involved in some more general tasks Participation in relevant internal and external meetings. Regular review of System level documentation dealing with requirements, system concepts, architecture and design, technical analyses, to identify information of importance for test tools test data. Support for the preparation of documentation for System level reviews, specifically the Preliminary Design Review PDR at the end of Phase B in 2015. PROFILE University degree in the domain of engineering, physics or equivalent. At least 5 years of general experience in the field of engineering of space andor ground systems, in the area of Earth observation from space. At least 3 years of involvement in the preparation andor execution of VV activities at System level combined Space and Ground Segments or at Ground Segment level of such Systems. Experience with the preparation of test plans, test specifications andor test procedures, prepared for VV of such Systems. The following would be beneficial Experience with Satellite System Validation Tests andor RF test campaigns. Handson experience with the development of test tools and compilation of test data sets. Proficiency in using DOORS. Background in engineering andor VV activities related to Low Earth Orbit LEO systems.
