Configuration Management Tool Support Key Tasks and Responsibilities Our customer is a European organisation providing weather and climaterelated satellite data, images and products for its users. You will have the following responsibilities Development of a generic As Designed configuration management tool instance Improvement of existing generic As Built configuration management tool Creation, modification, update and version tracking of configuration items documentation, HW items, SW items, keeping up to date the mapping between SW and HW items Develop, document and administer the content management tool used to manage changes and configuration items Develop, document and maintain all CM tool procedures and scripts Perform the second level maintenance of the CM tool Ensure the proper identification and archiving of software releases Support software installation on operational environments Provide support to the management of source code and data files Participate in the definition, improvement and implementation of the configuration management processes and working practices. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in Computer Science or equivalent Several years experience in the field of configuration management including build, deployment and installation processes on large softwareintensive high availability operational systems Expertise in Serena Dimensions installation, configuration and adminsitration Practical experience with Databases programmingSQL Oracle or Sybase Scripting languages e.g. vb.net Configuration Management standards such as CMMI, ISO or ESA ECSS Source code control tools CVS, SubVersion SW development environments on Visual Studio Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Fluency in English is mandatory, knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
