PA and Safety Support Engineer Galileo SCJ 2782 Summary An experienced engineer required to work on PAS requirements baseline Galileo Full Operational Capability FOC Satellites. Objective Establishing the PAS requirements baseline for all elements of the project, in compliance with the ESA general Product Assurance and Safety policy, to produce and implement plans, define inputs, outputs, participants, responsibilities, interfaces, coordinate efforts of participants, and produce resulting consolidated inputs. Responsibilities Duties Contribute to establishing and maintaining the particular PAS requirements baseline for all elements of the Galileo FOC Satellites, in compliance with the ESA general Product Assurance and Safety Policy Arranging for approval of the Galileo Satellites PAS requirements baseline and changes thereto by the Head of the Galileo PA Safety Office and the Head of the Product Assurance and Safety Department Reviewing of contractors plans, specifications and effort proposed for the execution of the project PAS programme Guiding and monitoring the implementation of PAS requirements by contractors in order to assess performanceeffectiveness, participation in design and safety reviews and directing the necessary preventive or corrective actions Representing ESA in the Boards established within the project for the disposition of Nonconformances Failure Reviews, Test Reviews, etc. Guiding and monitoring the application and procurement of EEE parts, materials and processes and controlling implementation of applicable requirements Ensuring the implementation of the Software PA and Software Configuration Management Requirements baseline across the Galileo Space Segment Monitoring the manufacturing, integration and test activities with quality assurance audits, mandatory and key inspection points, test witnessing and configuration inspections Supporting the definition of the formal acceptance requirements and conduction of acceptance reviews of all contractual deliverable items Ensuring the preparation of design tradeoffs, analyses and reports using RAMS data to support project decisions Supporting Security activities for space segment as appropriate Arranging and making effective use of assigned functional support from the Product Assurance and Safety Department Qualifications Experience Degree qualification, or equivalent, in engineering or technical sciences Extensive experience in Product Assurance and Quality Assurance in the aerospace domain. Good interpersonal, organisation and communication skills, with the ability to work in a diverse team environment. Essential Skills Knowledge of Configuration Management or the implementation of Product Assurance within a quality system certified to ISO 9001. Liferay Support and Java Developer Key Tasks and Responsibilities In this role you will be supporting ESAs directorate of Science and Robotic Exploration at ESAC and ESTEC. You will have the following responsibilities Develop, test, verify, maintain, support and document Liferay based portlets Support customers using the developed portlets Provide enduser documentation on how to use newly developed portlets Adapt portlet functionality to new requirements as necessary Ensure functionality of the developed portlets after upgrading Liferay or after upgrading the related applications to which the portlets are interfacing Administration of the Liferay Portal software General customer support on the Liferay Portal and associated applications Assist existing customers during the migration of their web sites to the Liferay environment, this includes content and applications Troubleshoot software incidents related to Liferay Portal or Liferay portlets Install and configure software packages which complement Liferay, like Media Wiki, Kayako support, Mantis, Jira, Directory Server, Mysql enterprise.
