Space Applications Services performs space system and software engineering for the European Space Agency ESA, National Space Agencies and the space industry. We are involved in international unmanned and manned spacecraft programmes. We require staff, wishing to join our team to work in a dynamic international environment for the following position Project Control Support for HSO ENGSERVPCS20140203 Tasks and Responsibilities The work will be performed at the European Astronaut Centre EAC Cologne, Germany. You will be reporting directly to the Head of EAC. You will have the following responsibilities Support all financial activities at EAC Support the settingup and followup of third party agreements with industry or specific agreements with national space agencies, in coordination with Legal Affairs Support the daily administration of the centre and the liaison offices in Houston and Moscow Support EAC staff in using ESA corporate financial systems Act as EAC interface for the ESA financial representative, purchase office and mission desk on matters of invoicing, payments, purchase orders and monitoring of operations Support the verification of manpower and cost reports. Qualifications, Experience and Skills Applicants should have a University degree or equivalent in finance management or other relevant field. Furthermore, candidates should have following experience and skills Several years experience in a similar role with an demonstatable excellence in project accounting Highly proficient in MS Office software, SAP experience would be highly appreciated Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and crosscultural sensitivity Good organisation skills,flexibility and ability to cope with pressure Knowledge of IPCDB, ESA rules cost control and ESA corporate financial systems would be an asset and advantage. Tasks The Service Desk Team is in charge of providing first and second level of IT support. It alsomaintains the desktops and mobile IT equipment laptops, mobile devices, etc of the Organisation. The support environment can be described as one where IT Users are well regarded experts in their own field, and where user problems can affect the EUMETSAT core business.
