Security Engineer for Galileo Deployment Activities

Position Reference 711 We are currently looking for a Security Engineer to Galileo Deployment Activities to provide support for the acceptance of new releases of the ground segment procured by ESA through a GSAESA Working Arrangement as well as the followup of the security aspects of the space segment deployed by ESA. This position is based in Prague, Czech Republic. The European GNSS Agency GSA is responsible for operations, service provision, security and market development for the European Global Navigation Satellite Systems GNSS EGNOS and Galileo. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Support to the follow up of security design and implementation of new Review and analysis of the Galileo security documentation provided for new releases of the ground segment. Support to the evaluation of security functionalities provided for new releases of the ground segment. Support to the assessment of the impact of changes of new releases of the ground segment on the security baseline. Review of the planning and security risks associated to the deployment of new releases of the ground segment. Review the security aspects of the space segment deployed by ESA, Followup the planning of actions undertaken by ESA under delegation by the Commission with respect to the infrastructure research and development activities under Horizon 2020. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory Masters Degree in a relevant technical domain. A minimum of 5 years of experience working performing the above tasks mentioned. Experience on Galileo ground segment release. Excellent command of both written and spoken English Organised, dynamic and proactive. In possession of security clearance at EU Secret level. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Design, develop, deploy, operate and maintain any of the ESDC Science Archives and Virtual Observatory VO subsystems Support the analysis of user requirements and work on the designand modelling of archive databases and archive data models Archive Data products repositories and Databases including DB administrative tasks Archive Data ingestion and metadata extraction systems Archive application servers and middle tier services Archive Web applications Archive Data distribution systems Archive interoperability systems, or programmatic access, supported by VO standards Archive administration services monitoring, statistics, reporting, user management... Archive data products online visualization images, spectra and analysis services VO tools and services Integration in and across all the ESDC archives of common infrastructure, tools and science data visualization, enabling the maximum exploitation of the data. Software configuration control activities associated with archive development. Unit and system tests associated with archive development.
