The Position Telespazio Germany is seeking experienced Spacecraft Operations Engineers to join our Sentinels Expansion Operations Preparation Systems Service team. The areas of responsibility for this service encompass from Operations Supervision and Mission Planning, to assuming the responsibility and performing activities for additional subsystems or systems within the scope of general SOE services, including testing, validation and operation of the Mission Control System, Mission Planning System and Simulator. This position is based at ESOC in Darmstadt. It is fulltime and permanent and expected starting date will be 15th March 2021. We are looking forward to meeting you! ResponsibilitiesDuties The Sentinels Expansion or High Priority Candidate Missions FOS System Engineering support service covers a number of preoperational support activities to the Mission Control Teams, linked to the evolution and new developments required within the Earth Observation Flight Operations Segment and in particular the Sentinel Expansion missions. The defined HPCMs are CO2M Copernicus Anthropogenic Carbon Dioxide Monitoring. LSTM Copernicus Land Surface Temperature Monitoring CRISTAL Copernicus Polar Ice and Snow Topography Altimeter CIMR Copernicus Imaging Microwave Radiometer ROSEL Radar Observing System for Europe at Lband, CHIME Copernicus Hyperspectral Imaging Mission The profiles required shall cover the areas of Ground Systems PreOperations Support FOS Assembly, Integration and Validation preOperational Support SpacetoGround Interfaces testing and validation preOperational Support QualificationsExperience University degree or equivalent education in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Telecommunications Engineering.
