ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY Our team is looking for a software engineer to join the team to help SES develop a realtime machine learning ML and artificial intelligence AI platform. Our team is responsible for the software development and maintenance of the Ground Control System GCS used for command and control to operation over 70 satellites. This includes spacecraft telemetry processing, storage and retrieval used for spacecraft health and safety. The team is currently in a transformational progression from relational databases to ML and AI. Our team has partnered with IBM to use cutting edge technologies like IBM Event Store memoryoptimized database, IBM Cloud Pak for Data fullyintegrate data and AI platform, and IBM Event Streams realtime processing and ML. Our team will provide the infrastructure, APIs and middleware access to the IBM stack. In this role the ideal candidate will have a passion for taking ownership of the IBM stack and a strong background in data storage and retrieval. This position may be located in Betzdorf, Luxembourg or Manassas, Virginia, USA. Position Reference 774 We are currently looking for a Ground Stations Operations Engineer to work at our clients premises in the city of Darmstadt, Germany. The key person will be involved in the routine operations, their evolution and the operations preparation of EUMETSATs Ground Stations GS within the Realtime services and System Operations RSO division for all EUMETSAT Geostationary Earth Orbit GEO and Low Earth Orbit LEO missions e.g. MTG, EPSSG and Sentinel6. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Operations of the GS and external GS services. Implementation, verification and operational validation of new Ground Stations and Ground Stations Services and their evolutions. Contribution to the operations preparation and system verificationvalidation for new satellite systems. Provision of support to anomaly investigation. Training of operational personnel for Ground Stations and external Ground Stations Services operations. Contribution to the system verification and validation activities for future satellite systems, including formal system operational scenario validation, SSVTs, IVV, Commissioning and operations rehearsals. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory University degree or equivalent in an engineering or scientific discipline relevant to the above mentioned tasks e.g. telecommunications, electronics, radio frequency or equivalent. or proven experience in ground stations TTC and Mission Data Acquisition in a realtime 247 spacecraft operations environment, ideally in an Earth Observation environment. Very good strengths in analysis, synthesis and presentation skills. Excellent interpersonal, communication and reporting skills and an ability to apply these to the interactions within a team and between teams in a multidisciplinary context. Ability to learn and develop the needed skills and knowledge to contribute to the operations of the service, including the ability to rapidly absorb, and make use of, information presented in written and oral communications in a dynamic context. AOCS Sensors Engineer

Position Reference 773 On behalf of ESA, we are currently looking for an AOCS Sensors Engineer to work in its Site ESTEC in the beautiful city of Noordwijk, The Netherlands. The key person will provide support to the ESTEC AOCSGNC Sensors Unit for the development and procurement of sensors and actuators. The Sensors Unit is in charge of gyroscopes, accelerometers, star trackers, APS detectors for star trackers, sun sensors, magnetic sensors and actuators, and bespoke GNC sensors such as navigation cameras, 3D cameras or Lidars for GNC. The AOCS Engineer will have access to the Sensors Lab, where technologies can be independently characterised. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Definition and implementation of AOCS Attitude and Orbit Control Systems for Earth Observation, Telecom, Navigation satellites and for Astronomy Observatories. The functional support provided to these projects e.g. Sentinel, Earth Care, MTG, Alphasat, Small GEO, Galileo, GAIA, Solar Orbiter, includes Participation to project reviews SRR, PDR CDR, . AOCS design, analyses and simulations control loops design and modelling, FDIR, independent simulator setup, functional verification and performance budgets. Review of AOCS SW implementation. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory Master or PhD in Electronics Engineering, with at least 4 years of relevant working experience. Familiarity with general development process for hardware space equipment key reviews, model philosophy. Strong background in electronics digital, analogue or both, and previous design experience. Familiarity with reviewing schematics, worst case and part stress analyses.
