The position is based at ESAs headquarter in Paris, France. Responsibilities You will be assigned to ESAs Advanced Concepts Team, which is engaging in collaborative research relations with university institutes and research centres, focusing on advanced research topics of potential strategic interest to the space sector and in experimenting with new forms of teamwork. You will support the Discovery and Preparation elements of the Discovery Preparation and Technology Development DPTD programme. This programme carries out analysis and laying the groundwork for the Agencys future activities with the following objectives Study feasibility for selection of new mission concepts. The position covers software evolution and development for ESOCs Mission Control Systems for currently flying Earth Observation EO spacecraft missions, such as the Aeolus, SWARM and Sentinel6 missions. The work involves both support for the existing systems based on SCOS2000 and the future evolution to new generation systems based on EGOSCC.
