Key Tasks and Responsibilities As part of the Radio Nav. Systems Tech Section, you will have the following responsibilities Support to Navigation Projects e.g. EGNOS and GALILEO and RD activities in the fields of safetyrelated PositionNavigationTiming PNT applications e.g. in railway, maritime and automotive sectors, PVT integrity and PVT assurance security Participation in studies supporting current and future PNT systems definition andor analysis for security and safetyrelated applications e.g. regarding system architecture, ground processing and user segment technologies Support to the activities relating to technology development, standardisation and working groups on PVT assurance and safetyrelated PNT applications Design, definition and follow up of activities including industrial development contracts and procurements, laboratory and field trials related to GNSS testbeds and receivers, in the aforementioned areas safetycritical, PVT assurance Support endtoend GALILEOEGNOS System Integration, Validation and Qualification activities e.g. new system features, receivers in the aforementioned areas. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience Masters Degree or equivalent in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Physics or Aerospace Engineering Background and experience in GNSS, in particular system and user technologies for PVT integrity experience in design, performances and standardisation of PNT user segments technologies GNSS receiver, signal processing and navigation algorithms, sensor fusion Background and experience in at least two of the following fields is an asset wireless security GNSS PVT assurance wireless systems for safetyrelated applications any of the following application domains and their associated safety standards railway, automotive, maritime Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage. Key Tasks and Responsibilities As part of the Dynamics and Testing department, you will have the following responsibilities Perform dynamic analyses as well as stability and strength verifications of composite and metallic structures Establish Finite Element Models FEM for dynamic as well as static analyses using tools such as Ansa, Patran, or Hypermesh and appropriate preprocessing methodologies Perform nonlinear dynamics calculations as well as coupled analysis fluidstructure interaction Contribute to the verification and mechanical justification structural integrity Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team and in a transnational organisation. Software PA Support Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities As part of the Software Product Assurance Team at ESTEC, you will have the following responsibilities Contribute to the establishment of the programmatic and technical software PA requirements within the framework of the ESA Software policy. Evaluate Contractors plans, technical specifications and efforts proposed for the execution of the SW PA programme. Monitor and evaluate SW PA analyses, reports and technical notes. Participate to project reviews, meetings, Configuration Control Boards Participate to software product evaluations and process assessments. Establish and maintain databases to track NCRs, RFWs, action items etc. as required. Quality assurance for Machine Learning models. Big Data software architectures and lifecycles. Data quality assurance. Cybersecurity assurance, security evaluation and certification, ISO27001. Handson experience with static code analysis and tools. Alternative software development lifecycles, continuous integration and tools. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience Masters degree in software engineering or computer science with background on space engineering. Familiarity with space product assurance practices together with a good working knowledge of appropriate working tools. Experience on Agile practices e.g. Scrum, Lean, Kanban or other Agile frameworks as SAFe. Practical experience in applying ECSS SW standards. Knowledge and proven experience in Configuration management of complex systems as well as Software engineering and PA in critical applications.
