Cisco Design and Implementation Engineer

We are currently looking for a Cisco Design and Implementation Engineer to support our customer in the Netherlands. Key Tasks and Responsibilities As part of the EUMETSAT Infrastructure and Network Services Team, you will have the following responsibilities The candidate will perform design tasks based on customer defined requirements, within the full engineering cycle of a design process via HighLevel Design, Low Level Design and Proof of Concept. Each step will be subject to specific deliverables and acceptance procedures. Technical planning, physical installation, testing, and commissioning of equipment. Technical assessment, design, and implementation services ensure that the technology is properly installed, deployed, and optimized. Configure and integrate systems, networks, communications, and any other required components specified in the lowlevel design. Execute postinstall and prior to live commissioning of the system, either at the customers site or in an appropriate staging environment. Provide advice to the customer based on industry best practices. Provide consulting service in the selection and implementation of new technologies, as well to support mid and long term architectural transition processes. Skills Experience A university degree in computer science, information systems or computer engineering. Experience working with the following network platforms Cisco Catalyst Switches c2K, c3K, c4K, c6K, c9K Cisco Nexus Switches Cisco ASA and Firepower Firewalls Cisco ISR and ASR Routers Cisco Load balancer Cisco WAAS. The candidate shall possess relevant experience in the field of system administration, engineering and deployment of Cisco Systems network equipment and network solutions. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Support data processing system engineering activities related to phases CE of EO programmes in particular Provide expertise in data processing engineering. Followup on the facility suppliers activities and Review of the data pack delivered for the reviews. Contribute to raising, processing and coordinating RIDs in the documentation provided by the prime contractor of the facility in the different reviews that will take place in the different programmes. Provide inputs to the definition of ICDs between data processing elements and other GS functions. Provide inputs to the definition of testing and Operational scenarios for data processing elements.
