SPECIFIC TASKS Your responsibilities will include the following Support the development of business intelligence solutions for internal and external customers and exploring new techniques for visualizing management information. Develop dashboards, providing management information with a sound understanding of the needs of the audience. Support the legacy systems and suggest options for a migration to a new emerging IT landscape. Contribute to the further digitalization of business processes. Contribute to the evolution of the TIA Data Warehouse, ensuring that data from different sources is structured, enriched and captures the business logic of the directorate. Actively exchange knowledge with team members andor other IT professionals in ESA and especially within the TIA domain. Develop and maintain application documentation including user guides and software developmentmaintenance documentation. Take responsibility for delivery of timely highquality results. Provide inputs to management reports. Follow the relevant and applicable ISO procedures and security directives. Maintain the required level of confidentiality and security as defined in the ESA Security Directives. PA and Safety Engineer

Position Reference 932 On behalf of ESA, we are currently looking for a PA and Safety Engineer to work in its Site ESTEC in the city of Noordwijk, The Netherlands. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Support the ESAs Project Product Assurance Safety PAS Manager in all activities related to the execution of the Product Assurance Programme. Participate in manufacturing, integration and test activities, e.g. manufacturing readiness reviews MRR, mandatory inspection points MIPs, test readiness reviews TRRs, test review boards TRBs. Support the Risk Management and Configuration Management processes within the ESA Project Team, including the disposition of Request for Deviations and Request for Waivers RFDs RFWs. Support the PAS Manager to ensure the effective implementation and execution of the nonconformance identification and reporting mechanisms within the contractor supply chain and confirm the correct and formal closure of nonconformances. Assist the PAS Manager in ensuring that all formally delivered items within the Project supply chain conform with requirements using formal acceptance reviews Delivery Review Boards DRBs. Produce reports on project and review activities, including conclusions and recommendations where necessary, participate in progress meetings, when needed and reporting on project PA status. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory Masters Degree in engineering or technical sciences, with at least 4 years of relevant working experience. Minimum of 4 years preferably 10 years of experience in the space sector,including 5 years in Product and Quality Assurance. Excellent interpersonal skills. High degree of organizational and communication abilities. Ability to work in a diverse and multinational team environment. Fluency in English, both written and spoken. System Operations Engineer Earth Observation Satellites

Thorn SDS is part of the incumbent System Operations Engineering team based onsite at EUMETSAT providing services focussed on real time endtoend mission operations and the systems required to support them, including communications networks, operational infrastructure, operation security training and interfacing with Flight Operations. The services support the routine operational phases of EUMETSAT MSG and EPS systems, Copernicus systems as well as to support the preparation of future missions including MTG. We are bidding to retain these services and part of our solution enables us to showcase 1 or 2 high quality new candidates that we will propose join our team, on or around June 2022, to address the expanding client requirements. Whilst we are aware that it is impractical to completely commit to such a timescale, we are seeking candidates that are applying in the full knowledge that this is the likely time scale and can therefore plan accordingly. The role is based at our clients facility ESAESOC, Darmstadt and is a fabulous opportunity for an individual with excellent communication skills in English, to work on a number of hugely interesting programmes. The scope of the role is wide ranging and may include elements of routine operations services, operations preparations services and operations training. The tasks and responsibilities can be broken down as below System and ground segment operations Communications and networks operations System monitoring and reporting Operations security, infrastructure and training Multimission tools mass storage and archiving Implementation, verification and validation VV of systems and their evolutions Systems operations preparation and VV for new satellite systems Anomaly investigation Preparation and maintenance of operations documentation Training of operational personnel for systems operations Definition and development of operational concepts System VV activities for future satellite systems To be successful in this role we would expect you to have a university degree in an engineering discipline and proven experience in Earth Observation EO ground segments and systems operations in an operational environment. You should have a minimum two years of experience in system operations of EO missions covering a number of the disciplines listed in the tasks and responsibilities above and additionally, experience in the system operations engineering of complex EO ground segments and experience of VV of such systems. The role will develop with different missions so we are looking for engineers who can demonstrate initiative and flexibility in a fastpaced environment, perhaps already familiar with the EUMETSAT or ESA environment. Many of the systems operate with UNIXLinux operating systems so knowledge of this in an operational environment is a core requirement. You should be systematic in your approach to work, able to plan and cope with tight schedules you should be able to communicate articulately in English and be able to write accurate, concise, focussed and consistent technical documentation. Summary Brand new opportunity for an experienced electrical engineer to join the Telespazio UK team, working onsite at ESTEC, to support the ongoing development and implementation of solar generators within new and upcoming missions. Objective The post will provide support to ESA, and other assigned missions in the area of solar generator design, as well as defining and implementing an ongoing technological research programme. Responsibilities Duties The successful individual will be expected to Provide functional support to ESA spacecraft programmes and other European projects, if required for space solar generator design, manufacturing and testing, including the provision of independent, technical assessment in Project Reviews. Define, promote and implement the technological research programme for advanced photovoltaic generator technology, including solar cells, photovoltaic assembly processes and components e.g. coverglasses, solar generator subsystems, environmental effects models, testing methods and test facilities. Maintain the ESA solar generator laboratory facilities, and the execute engineering and qualification tests. Define and implement European standards in the solar generator domain. Supervise industrial contracts for research and development of solar cells and modules including next generation multijunction solar cell and solar generator technologies, concentrator systems and experiments on space environmental effects on the solar generators. Assist the EPG section team on solar array related design and qualification issues and in the execution of characterisation and environmental tests of solar cells, modules and solar generators. Qualifications Experience University Masters degree, or equivalent, in Electrical Engineering, Semiconductor Physics, or related discipline. Experience in multijunction space solar cells technology Essential Skills Knowledge of space solar array design and technologies. Experience in space photovoltaic assembly PVA technology. Knowledge of the main characterisation and environmental tests for space solar cells and solar generators Familiarity with European Space Standard ECSS requirements. Experience in technical contract management.
