Sky and Space Global Ltd ASX SAS, Sky and Space Global or the Company is looking to recruit several Satellite systems operators. Description SAS is seeking talented engineers to join our team, a part of our satellite communication network project. This position is primarily to operate and monitor a fleet of communication nanosatellites in LEO. Tasks include monitoring and operating during all phases of satellites lifetime, starting launch, through nominal operations to deorbit. Some tasks will involve writing new procedures, testing and verification of various types of procedures on a simulator and execution in space, supporting satellite launch, commissioning and IOT in orbit testing, as well as monitoring the fleet during nominal operations, trend analysis and fault handling and decommissioning at the end of life phase. At least 1 year of handson satellite operations in required, and a science engineering degree, as well as good English skills written and spoken. Knowledge of satellite communication and SW orientation in different languages is an advantage. The position is fulltime and will be located at our facilities in the UK. A competitive salary and benefits package will be provided. This position is available to all nationalities. Position Summary The satellite operator will work within our space operations division. The position includes Daily satellite telemetry reviewing, routine health checks and trend analysis execution, supporting special activities on satellites and operating a remote satellite ground center as well as in orbit Testing. The job requires working independently, as well as excellent solving problems and decisionmaking skills. The successful candidate must have good engineering skills and be experienced in all satellite operations aspects as well as satellite telemetry and commanding. Interactions with international technical teams will require the operator to have excellent written and verbal communications skills. Ideal candidate The successful candidate will bring a PhD or MSc in Telecommunication Engineering with particular emphasis on digital communication system and subsystem techniques, highspeed processing techniques for communication via satellites, as well as experience in these fields, and minimum 4 years of experience in the tasks similar to the ones described above. Additionally, the person requires Strong technical background in telecommunication engineering and knowledge of the relevant communication protocols. Knowledge of the main satellite and wireless terrestrial telecom standards. Experience with communication system HW prototyping and testing e.g. FPGA, DSP, GPU, microprocessors. Broad technical expertise in telecommunication networks design with particular emphasis on physical and link layer, and good understanding of multiple access telecommunication protocols. Strong knowledge and experience in the simulation of complex telecom links at physical and MAC layers. Knowledge of satellite communication architectures and techniques. Experience in analysis and design of modern digital communication systems, coding and synchronization issues. Familiarity with modern communication system and subsystem simulation techniques, as a minimum Matlab and CC program languages. Knowledge of modern prototyping and testing methodologies for digital communication subsystems is also preferred.
