Spacecraft Systems Engineer

Responsibilities This is a senior engineering position supporting all aspects of space systems engineering. You are expected to lead a team of engineers both during study phases as well as in implementation projects. You have a wide experience in several fields of systems engineering, such as requirements analysis, failure modes and effects analysis, engineering analysis, systems modelling and spacecraft architectural design. It is desirable that you have experience from the full lifecycle of space systems starting from feasibility analysis Phase A through Preliminary Design Phase B and project implementation Phases CDE. It is desirable that the applicant has experience of working towards demanding and technically competent Customers, such as ESA and NASA. As Lead Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for negotiating technical requirements with the Customers, as well as leading the followon requirements analysis and breakdown to lower level requirement specifications. As Systems Engineer, you will be overall responsible for defining and maintaining satellite system budgets, controlling interfaces between all subsystems and leading and supervising the technical work of the engineering team. It is desirable that you have a solid technical background in one or more of the following spacecraft engineering areas MechanicalThermal ElectricalRFEMC Data handlingSoftware Attitude and orbit control Orbital mechanics Qualifications Bachelors or Masters Degree in related Engineering discipline At least 5 years of experience in space systems engineering Fluent in the English language , both spoken and written Excellent interpersonal skills and communications capabilities A good personal drive with a commitment to meeting agreed deadlines Experience using MATLAB Experience using DOORS or other requirements management tool The Spacecraft Systems Engineer will work in the Spacecraft department and report to the Head of Department. Die Gerte werden dem Unternehmen als Prime fr den Heinrich Hertz Satelliten fr die Integration beigestellt und es ist die Aufgabe des Unternehmens die Kompatibilitt aller Schnittstellen zwischen den Gerten und den Satelliten sicherzustellen. Um die Aufgaben zu erfllen wird derdie Satelliten Systemingenieurin Teil des Kernteams der Satelliten Systemingenieuren fr die Phase CD der Satellitenmission. Sicherstellung der Schnittstellenkompatibilitt der IOVGerte mit dem Satelliten Bewertung des Designs und des Qualifikationsprogramms inklusive Abnahmetests der Gerte. Bewertung der Flugtchtigkeit der IOV Gerte Teilnahme an GerteStatusmeetings und Review Colocation. Hierbei Vertretung der durch OHB generierten RIDs bei der Colocation ggf. unter Einbindung der jeweiligen Experten.
