The Cotton Association of India (CAI) has accused the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) of overestimating the level in stocks, being responsible for the fall of Indian prices, therefore. Viscose fiber prices have declined slightly in India, whereas staying unchanged in China and Pakistan. The dramatic fall in VSF exports in May has resulted in lower production levels in China. Cotton yarn imports have recovered in June in China, after collapsing in May. Shipments from Pakistan have surged in May, however, whereas disappearing from India before they rebounded in June. Our weekly report covers China's fiber and yarn prices on cotton, polyester, and viscose markets. Domestic and Import yarn price indicators are released, as well as local market prices in Qianqing (Zhejiang), including a large number of counts for spun cotton, polyester, viscose, and blends.
