Polyester fiber prices were eventually declining in the middle of the week, after resisting a drop in crude oil prices over the last weekend. Our weekly report covers the Polyester Staple Fiber (PSF) and Polyester Filament Yarn (PFY) prices on the domestic market, including a price comparison of polyester staple fibers with cotton and viscose. The gross margin of polyester spun yarn producers is also released.

Polyester intermediate prices have begun showing signs of weakness, in line with a fall of crude oil prices on the international market.
