Mayors say Verizon falls short on providing fiber optic service

Verizon has fallen short of its obligation to provide fiber-optic cable service to Paterson and a dozen other cities, Paterson Mayor Jose Torres and other mayors say in a recent letter to Verizon's CEO. The letter was released this week by the Communications Workers of America, which represents 1,500 Verizon workers in New Jersey and 35,000 nationwide.

The polyester chain prices have further declined in the last week, ahead of Chinese holidays. There is no sign yet that prices could rebound in the coming period. Our weekly report covers the polyester chain in Eastern Asia and in India, including PX (paraxylene), PTA (purified terephthalic acid), MEG (mono-ethylene glycol), polyester chips, and polyester staple and filament prices.
