Main responsibilities We are currently looking for a TransitionProject Manager for ESTRACK, to work in Sercos operations at our customer site ESOC, Darmstadt, Germany. The role will be offered as 6 months fixedterm contract. The position is related to the Network Operations Centre NOC Services at ESOC, for which Serco will nominate a temporary position to oversee the implementation of all reorganisation of the service into its new operating structure. The ESTRACK Transition Manager is the main point of contact and the responsible party for managing change of the services Serco provides, while minimizing costs and associated risk factors. The Transition Manager will be aligned upon contract award, and will remain in position until the agreed level of operational resilience has been achieved, and the Agency has approved business as usual status for the contract, but not longer than 12 months. As the implications and considerations for the planned transition may be complex and affect multiple areas of the business, the Transition Manager shall chair regular review meetings and on demand create presentations, which includes handouts, notes, examples and research materials, to illustrate the point. As part of a multiheaded transition team the ESTRACK Transition Manager is responsible for the following Review, update and maintain the transition plan and other associated plans for the project. Extract requirementsdeliverables from the statement of work, the ITT and our proposal. Manage delivery of the project and work with the contract management team to ensure sufficient resources for the project. Ensure the project delivers the required benefits on time and on target, meeting quality requirements. Develop and maintain communication at all levels across the contractcustomer. Design, organise and facilitate change activity with staff at all levels and customer involvement. Develop and maintain realistic quality and risk plans. Capture lessons learnt. Create weekly and monthly status reports for the customer. Facilitate and lead weeklymonthly and adhoc meetings with the customer and internal stakeholders. Ideal candidate The successful candidate should bring Competent user of Microsoft Office specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio. Strong experience as a project manager. Preferably PMP or Prince2 certifiedexperienced. Extensive Change Management experience. Experience leading service transitions in an outsourcing environment. Moderation skills ability to deal with detractors and difficult staff facing job lossjob change. Excellent communication skills ability to talk to staff and top management. Tasks The facilities within ESTRACK require operations engineering services as provided by Ground Operations Engineers GOE assigned to a set of missions. Ground Operations Engineers are responsible for providing the ops engineering services required for their missions during preparation and execution phase. During the routine phase, they are the first level of escalation of services provided by the Network Operations Centre NOC. Their typical counterparts on the side of ESA missions are Analysts and Spacecraft Operations Engineers. The GOE services are defined below. There is a prime and deputy GOE for each mission.
